Lots of good submissions so far. I'm probably going to start the game over the weekend. I'll leave submissions open until then and then figure out a fair way to select players.

Ways I can think of
>Poll, Put everyone(General) Up in a poll and let US vote for up to three people, then let in the [X] Highest voted players in.
>Pull names out of a hat
>Roll a Die and assign everyone to a number

Ah, so not everyone who "applies" gets to play? How many players do you think will get accepted?

Has anyone ever considered that the best way to value player's application is through a self-process of quality assessment with a factor of variety (like not including 4 gods of knowledge).

But four gods of knowledge could be an interesting mix, four nations under their deity battling over forbidden knowledge.

Well it would be until you realise one of the four is also a god of war. Thou shalt not fight a god of war; it never ends well :P

You know, I should probably change away to increase variety here.

Spoiler: Julius (click to show/hide)

Not your conventional nature god, but it still fills an empty spot.

So, let's see. We have, so far, the gods of
-Renewal
-Chaos
-Earth, Gravity, and Entrophy [sic]
-War, Beauty, Engineering
-Improvement, Analysis, Application
-Tinkering, Mutation, Curiosity
-Food, Metals, War. (I guess the connection is that they're the god of cutlery? Very sharp cutlery?)
-Monsters, Bravoure, Might (Bravoure being fancy for Bravery)
-Life, Order

Hmm. I might make an application later today, if inspiration strikes.

I think your initial sheet was pretty fine, the four "tech" gods are pretty diverse to me.
Teknix is a god of mad science and discovery. As long as it's something new, it's good for him.
Kyazir is a god of aesthetic mechanisms. It seems like one to follow a selective kind of improvement.
Only Acter and Kalak'r seems a bit similar "tech" wise. Both are gods viewing all sort of knowledge worth remembering. The main difference is that Acter focus on discovery, while Kalak'r focus on remembering.

Kalak'r could be seen as an archivist, keeper of knowledge, while Acter is more of a searcher.

Ooh thanks for pointing Barvoure out. I forgot to translate it back into english after writing it.

It's been a while since my last god game.

I'm getting a Proelior vibe from this guy. highfives

Also, PTW. And inb4 anyone asks, Proelior was a character of mine in Nakeen's godgames.

Yeah, that probably sounds about right. Acter also isn't just about technological and magical improvement, but also social improvement and personal improvement. Take anything, and make it better. That "anything" isn't limited in scope.

Yep, as ever, I bestow upon Glass the expected +1
I'm gonna say we go with whatever Glass's idea is.

Well, I should still probably branch out. I played a tech god last time I played in a god game.
