Two strange creatures appear by the riverside. Zeta and Aleph. Zeta hunts some grass eaters for any visitors but finds no spices on the rivershore to use in his cooking. While Aleph makes tools and weapons.
Zeta and Aleph are created on the rivershore
(Acter would have received an act this turn from the unaligned plains Vri but they no longer visit his river due to events described later)
(1 act performed on the rivershore)
Through a combination of persistence and simplicity the dreams being sent to the craftsmen are being to have an effect. Many Plains Vri craftsmen are beginning to see creating things as a spiritual act.
Cultural Change in Plains Vri; Craftsmanship and spiritualism are becoming intertwined
Two new Vri join the addict tribe, one calls himself Cultivator and the other Developer. Cultivator tries to get the addict Vri to farm the mushrooms but finds it much like trying to herd cats. The addicts are apathetic and small in number and as the mushrooms have spread about the place they see no particular use in farming them. They are content wandering the plains eating mushrooms where they find them. There are not enough addicts yet for them exhausting an area of mushrooms to be a realistic possibility. So Cultivator ended up doing most of the farming himself but found that there wasn’t enough water in soil or air to reliably farm. Developer has better luck, the stems of reed grass are long and stiff. Developer weaves a number of these stems together to form a basic shelter. These shelters are small but they keep the wind off of sleeping Vri.
But they are also remarkably light so the addict Vri have taken to carrying them with them whenever they move. Another new sight appeared on the plains; purple apple trees. However there is a reason that the plains is short of plant life and that is that it is very dry. There is not enough moisture to support much plant life and the purple apple trees must compete with the captivians and reed grass for that water. To make matters worse the tall apple trees need and use up far more water than its competitor plants. The odd apple tree can be seen when looking out across the plains and they prove to be more useful than just a source of food or wood. They grow best near sources of underground water and they grow taller than other plants acting almost like beacons for places where water can be found. While they are in no danger of extinction they are far from thriving. The apple trees that are beginning to spread to the swamp and the rivershore do not look like they’ll have that problem however. The wiseman attempts to procreate with the addicts but sadly it is for naught. ((Servants cannot have children))
Cultivator and Developer are created
Cultivator is unable to teach the Vri to farm and tries to farm on their behalf but finds the plains are a poor place to farm
Developer is successful in building useful reed grass shelters for the Vri
Purple Apple trees are created and are beginning to spread to the rivershore and the swamp

Like all dreams sent to Vri the dreams sent by X'ariliyg become scrambled and confusing. They simply have no idea what it’s supposed to mean and because of this no migration happens.
The twisted lands form near the mountains close to Diaq. It’s a place of fertile ash fields and fiery rivers. Across this new land a truly bizarre creature appears. They are a cross between a sheep and a plant.
The twisted Lands are created.
The Sheep Lettuce are created are begin to spread to the plains.
(2 acts performed in the twisted lands)
The plains Vri are proud and very stubborn which means Lu’s angry message to them only served to solidify anti-Lu sentiment among the Plains Vri. In the end it only makes them more determined to resist. The Mountain Vri on the other hand are initially suspicious and afraid of Atu but the messenger of the spirit of fire spoke to them of the god Lu and his messenger Atu and so a large number of mountain Vri gathered to hear Atu’s message. The mountain Vri held a deep hatred of the plains Vri. Too many mountain Vri had gone to the plains to raid and not returned. Too many years of hunger while the plains Vri feasted. The plains Vri called them scum, degenerates and murders. Anger at the plains Vri had become a part of the mountain Vri’s culture. Lu’s message didn’t spread quite as far or as fast as Exkit’s but it was close. The mountain Vri were thrilled at the idea of a creature such as Atu aiding them in combat. There is a particular Vri is very devoted to the idea of strength winning out over the Plains Vri and thus to Lu. He also happens to be the mountain Vri’s raidmaster, the Vri responsible for organising, directing and leading most of the mountain Vri’s raids against the plains Vri.
Lu gains followers
Mountain Vri Raidmaster receives Obsidian Gauntlets
Lu gains two acts
Exkit creates a Wok for the food god Gnyr and presents it to him.
Gnyr’s Wok is made it has the rules Passive: +3 to cooking, Active; Lose this artifact to cancel an action that would be undertaken by a target mortal, hero or servant.

(1 act performed on Diaq)
There is disappointment and mourning when the news of Mosk’s death spreads. Many mountain Vri wonder if the fire god would punish them for failing to protect him from the undead. But no punishment came instead a few Vri who went to Diaq returned with strange powers. It seemed the lord of fire was unwilling to let them go unprotected. Those powers were limited control of fire. The vast majority could do little more than light a fire with it however the cold windy mountain was a difficult place to light fires and the few methods they had to light them were difficult and tedious. This made both fires that were already burning and the people who could easily light fires precious. There was one particular Vri who could summon more than small fires. She could shoot jets of flame from her hands and perform many other feats. Her hands had become blackened and burnt as she’d been unable to protect herself from her own fire. But she considered this a fair trade for being able to wield the power of the fire god and all over the mountains Vri recognised her by these burnt hands. She felt she had a duty to the god that had gifted her these powers and as soon as she heard that Stob had asked the mountain Vri to make captives of plains Vri craftsmen she knew what she had to do. No sensible Raidmaster would turn away the Firecaller when she wished to join a raid.
Exkit grants pyromancy to the pilgrims of Diaq, most are weak but one stands out as very powerful
(2 acts performed at Diaq)
A flurry of separate but related innovations appear across the plains.
Reed grass baskets are invented simultaneously by three different groups on the plains. The first group is the addicts that realise the method the developer was using to build the huts could be used to make something to carry things in. The other tribes invented them out of necessity as both tribes would be leaving in a hurry and needed ways to carry their goods with them.
An idle conversation between two Mithra Vri about how it was a shame they couldn’t take the grass eaters with them when they left spiralled into a bunch of experiments where they used tactics they learned in hunting to force grass eaters to move in the direction they wanted them to. Mithra Vri learn basic Grass eater herding.
The atmosphere on the plains had recently turned into a very fearful one. Almost everyone felt the need to defend themselves and with the appearance of the purple apple trees there were new avenues of weapon making to try. Mithra, Plains and Addict Vri all learn how to make sharpened wooden spears.
Eventually it came time to leave and the Mithra tribe moved to the rivershore where they spoke with Acter's Servants there and the Mithra Vri came to learn how to fish and to worship Acter as well as Mithra.
Mithra Vri learn Grass Eater herding.
All tribes on the plains (Mithra, plains and addict) learn basket making and wooden spears
Mithra Vri move to Riverside

Lu triggers a lesser Calamity at the rivershore: (4)
Nothing
Astarth wove her spells and teleported the entire tribe. The majority of them ended up in the Priory but far more Vri than expected found themselves lost in the mountains. The native mountain Vri have always held a deep hatred of the plains Vri, they were very suspicious and hostile towards those that intruded on their mountain homes and with Lu’s Atu stoking the flames of that hatred things were even worse than normal. The mountain Vri were already searching the mountains for the plains Vri when they arrived led by Atu, the Vri Raidmaster and the Firecaller. Violence and murder was often the result when the plains Vri were found. Some hunters tried to rally together but the mountains were a dangerous and unfamiliar ground and mountain Vri were able to ambush them easily while on their home turf. Desperate, violent fights were being fought all over the mountains with plains Vri fighting valiantly with wooden spears and boomerangs against obsidian weapons and limited pyromancy. Combat contest: Atu 10-Chieftain 0(base)+ 2(Boomerang)
Atu and a number of mountain Vri come across the Plains chieftain in the mountains the resulting fight is over in moments. The Vri throws Lu’s boomerang at the great beast and it slams into Atu’s side. But the giant creature pushes on, it’s maw opening up and engulfing the Vri. It crushed the man between its teeth and swallowed. “Weak” it spat dismissively as it retrieved its master’s Boomerang as its master had instructed.
Chieftain-(4,4)=8
Atu-(1,4,3,2,6,6,5,6,1,5)=39
Plains Vri are teleported to the Priory but some are teleported around the mountains due to imprecision.

For a while it seems like angry aggressive Grass Eaters are everywhere, they scatter the addict’s belongings as they chew the addict’s baskets and eat their homes. Eventually the grass eaters are driven back but they managed to do a tremendous amount of damage to everything the addicts owned in the process.
Small Meteorite
There is a streak of fire in the sky and slams down into the remains of the addict village, setting fire to what was left in the process. Several addicts are killed. Developer is killed
Work of a Smith x4
Perhaps it was the whispers of the god of insanity, perhaps it was seeing his tiny tribe almost obliterated or perhaps it was the mushrooms but one of the addict Vri losses it. He starts grinning and babbling about things that don’t seem to make sense to anyone. He takes a few fragments of the meteor and the still burning remnants of what the tribe had owned and starts doing things to them no one is sure what he did or how but when he is finished he has created four different artifacts. Tools of the Smith( A set of basic stone tools that have the power to pass magic onto what is crafted with them): passive: Small chance to cause the work of the smith calamity every turn when wielded by a mortal or servant who crafts. Active: Destroy this artifact to create a random greater artifact. Staff of the Meteorite(A stick of burnt wood with a chunk of the meteorite embedded into the top) Passive: +3 to pyromancy, Active:Lose this artifact to cause the small meteorite calamity in the area it is currently in. Tree of voices (this is a burnt purple apple tree near where the meteor hit, the mad Vri has carved strange marks on to it and tied the smoldering possessions of the dead to its branches) Passive: those who eat the fruit of this tree (this does not work with any other trees and cannot be replicated) go insane. This artifact cannot be wielded or moved. Active: Kill or destroy the tree to return sanity to everyone it has caused to go insane. Magical Rock (this is a small rock that emits a lot of passive magic) Passive; Servants wielding this artifact count as being one power value level lower when calculating if they need upkeep. Active: Lose this artifact to allow a slain servant to skip the death penalty cooldown.
After his work was completed he found that the remaining addict Vri had given him a title; The Mad Artificer
Not all encounters ended in violence some plains Vri met the Firecaller who calmly invited them to join her at her fire and offered them food. She just as calmly summoned a wall of fire blocking their path when they tried to leave and explained they were part of the mountain tribe now and they were going to share their secrets because that was what Exkit had asked. Other mountain Vri had followed the Firecaller’s example and heeded the words of Stob. Many of the lost Vri were captured. However the mountain Vri find that many of them are unwilling to do the slow and often tedious job of being craftsman so why not just force the captives to do it. Unfortunately they don’t have ready access to the materials need to make most of the things the plains Vri know how to make but leatherworking is something they still can do. In fact it is noticed that skipping a step in the process (soaking in urine) leaves the hairs intact. Rather than creating leather the mountain Vri start creating cured fur pelts from low-down skin. These fur pelts provide a great deal of warmth and quickly become a very desired commodity amoung the mountain Vri who use them to keep themselves warm while out on the mountainside.
Mountain Vri get plains captives
Mountain Vri learn, Slave craftsmen, basket making, spear making, boomerangs and leatherworking.
Bonus Techs for technological spread: fur pelts, basic clothes.
Astarth does what she can to gather the lost Vri but even a god cannot be everywhere at once and so a large number of plains Vri are lost to mountains, some are taken prisoner, some are killed and some just die in the harsh cold of the mountains. The surviving members have gathered in the Priory. They see the stone structure and they call it a cave made by magic. They are awed by it and by the fact that Astarth teleported them all so far. In the areas around the Priory new creatures can be seen; the Alpaca. They are wooly and make for great prey in the hunt. Astarth’s attempts to tame so Alpaca works well but convincing the Vri of the worth of such activities are much harder. They have yet to figure out a use for wool other than slowly turning it into string by hand and the wool retrieved from dead Alpacas is more than enough to keep the craftsmen busy. With that done Astarth set to work fortifying the Priory. The defenses of the Priory are strong but magical, right now it would take an act to break through but if the tides of magic rise it might take more and if the tides of magic were to fall so too will the defenses of the Priory.
The Plains Vri are living in the Priory now
Alpaca are created
A few Alpaca are tamed but Vri do not yet see a point in that,
The Priory is fortified, this can be overcome with an act but the defenses can grow stronger or weaker depending on the level of magic.Gods who cannot enter the Priory cannot use acts there

At the bay the cultivator, the shaper and the silver knight are formed and a grove of trees appear bearing appa fruit. The shaper carves some boats from these trees but the Vri who try to use the boat prove utterly incapable seamen despite the shapers attempts at teaching them and quickly capsize the boat and drown in the waters of the bay. After that there are no Vri willing to try the boats. But the Spung rafts appearing in shallow pools are nicely accessible to them and they make use of the fruits there. They have great issues with population due to the Vriberry children and the sudden spike in birth rate it caused children now drastically outnumber capable adults. Food is an issue again but the Cultivator helps alleviate that a bit although there are few plants suited to farming in the bay. Another issue is that there are now too many children for the adult Vri to properly teach and keep track of. Small groups of children are constantly getting lost and finding their way to the rivershore or the mithra heartlands. Mithra’s healer is surprised by the arrival of these children and heals them when possible. Acter’s servants on the rivershore help feed the lost children that come their way and give them tools. In return the curious and impressionable children ask many questions about who the servants are and where they come from and end up giving thanks to the different gods that spawned them. The caretakers meanwhile instruct the Vri to praise Oba through songs at dawn and dusk and they gave them other rituals. The Vri for their part are happy to partake in few benign rituals. It is when Oba starts demanding 10% of their food that problems start to arise. The Vri don’t understand that Oba is storing it and a few raise objections only for the first one to speak to be struck down by Oba’s power. The Vri are stubborn, prideful and simple. They react very badly to Oba killing one of their own and things turn very nasty very quickly. A great many Vri are resentful of Oba for killing one of their tribe kin and for hoarding precious food and so they attempt to attack some of his servants in retribution only to be stopped violently by the silver knights. From there things rapidly descend into a riot. A good number of Vri side with Oba but most of the rest are driven off by the silver knights and flee up the river.
Cultivator, shaper and another silver knight are formed
Cultivator has trouble farming as there isn’t a plant suited to it in the bay but manages to provide some food.
Shaper makes some boats but teaching the Vri how to use them properly fails as all their instincts are primed for solid ground.
The population boom caused by the Vriberry is causing problems as there are too many children to keep track of which means children are ending up in the Mithra heartlands and the rivershore.
Oba establishes an organised religion dedicated to itself but in the resulting unrest many Vri are killed and many more flee from the bay
