Ok well I founds this awesome oceanside map.. I load it up and in it I find..
two 20-z-level water falls with fishes and hippos (yes hippos for some reason there were about 15 in the river) falling down the waterfall and dieing and blowing apart at the bottom. And to the north there were 8 or so elephants tearing apart snail/slugmen I cant remember. And the southern water fall was floating in air. The river spanned out over nothing and dropped water down 20 levels to the shore where it went into the ocean.. It crashed some time after, it took 98% of my cpu to run it with all the flow coding and everything else..So I was gona save it and share with all of you but it crashed and corrupted the file. It was just so awesome I had to share the story.

yea, rivers meeting oceans right now are broken and do that, its a bug

Who cares, exploding hippos can make ANY map epic, regardless of its playability.

I had something similar. I started on a 48 tile high bluff overlooking a beach. What's stranger is that the river spread out in the air above the beach.

The 48 tile waterfall landing on a flat beach is causing a fair bit of lag however.

Idea time: If sea creatures could make their way up particularly wide rivers that don't have the strange waterfalls...

If they could then find their way back to the sea along a route that includes a zillion-z-level waterfall...

...if ceramics could be implemented such that you could cultivate above-ground plants in soil within ceramic containers...

...you could drop a sperm whale and a bowl of petunias off a waterfall and have them blow apart at the bottom.   :D

It would be cool for fast rivers to actually be able to smash animals against the rocks and then you'd occasionally get carcasses and such drifting downstream.

Epic map is epic, though.
