Hi,
I have such message:
Likot Nimakfikod, Jeweler cancels Cut white opal: Needs rough white opals.
BUT...
There is plenty of those (and others opals in the same room). What do do?

1: Are they in a burrow?
2: Is the workshop set up to only accept from links?
3: Do they have hands?
4: Are the opals in bins?
5: Is someone coming with a bin to put those opals in the bins?
6: Is there a locked door between them and the opals?
7: Are they marked for trade?
8: Is another workshop taking priority of them?
9: Did you accidentally d-b forbid them?
10: Are they the proper opals?

Press d then b, and select unforbid and unforbid that stockpile. I doubt that's the problem though as you didn't know about it...

Everything looks fine to me, should be working. Try deconstructing and rebuilding the workshop again.

Then you didn't look closely enough - the gem cutter is trapped inside the workshop because the 3 tiles on the right edge are impassable.

You should also know that the same problem frequently happens with Bowyer's workshops, whose 3 left tiles are impassable.

And Butcher, or kitchen/craftsdwarf if access is done through ne/sw corner. In fact, here's quick graph of all of them.
Spoiler: "Bright image" (click to show/hide)
The dark tiles when you place a workshop denote impassable squares.

If that's your own image, you should probably fix it - the graph for the Butcher's shop is totally wrong (should be exactly the same as the Mason's workshop).

...You're right, thank you. *doublechecks all workshops*

Others seem to be correct. Not sure how I conflated the two *blames copypasting*

E: Fixed.

Rip, I'm not used to the base game so that looked fine to me. How'd I not think of that though...  :'(

I deleted previous game and play a new one, and... the same :(

Have a look:

^^ Nothing is blocking a workshop, needs "fire agates", which is just next to the workshop, so what's might be wrong?

Um... you are aware that your workshop is still blocked, right?

Specifically, those 3 brown "░" tiles along the right edge of the workshop are impassable, so your dwarf (who built the workshop in the first place) cannot walk through them (and is trapped inside).

Wow!  That's insidious.  I'm glad I always my my workshop rooms 5x5 with the workshop in the centre.  I never noticed that!

Reasons I just started making my workshop rooms 5x5. That and smoothing the walls before the workshop went down was annoying me too much.

But yeah, the jeweller workshop consists of a 3x3 square. The left and middle columns are passable - a dwarf can walk over them. Think of it like walking over clutter on the floor. The right column, that's blocking your dwarf, is impassable - think of it as a wall-to-ceiling shelf. That dwarf isn't getting past without knocking the whole thing over and deconstructing the workshop.

Many thanks, I see it now. What a shame, I deleted a previous game as I thought is a bug.

BTW, I just had a game where dwarfs would not use gems inside a bin no matter what.  I created a new stockpile that didn't allow bins and disabled the first stockpile and the dwarfs would not move the gems out of the bin (and still wouldn't cut them).  I finally dumped gems in the bin and then reclaimed them.  Finally the gemcutter would cut them.   No idea what the problem was (there was definitely no contention on the bin and I had not retired the fortress at any time).  The dwarfs had absolutely no problem dumping the gems, so there were no burrow problems, etc.  Just very weird.
