The book can aid you in research and in spell-casting without the requirement of being a Fire Mage. It veers towards hedge wizardry and independent magic that Imperial Thaumaturgy was known for.

Also, "Sacred Flame" is a spirit and divine power that is bestowed upon exceptional mortals for special service. I don't mind it being a name of a famous runeblade though either..

Actually having a random dude who turned up, spouted multiple damning things about the Swordholder, attacked the guards and left is a decent way of muddying the church vote as well.

Frankly I wouldn't mind serving King Arthur anyway.

EDIT: Also, for what it's worth, I don't think any of the folks with the GM (Grandmaster) know about Domnal's rampage yet.
That's not going to stop Falsktnafn from failing to be surprised if Domnal does show up, but that's just because the prick likes to pretend he knows about everything before it happens.
