The two wagons stopped. Rain poured down from cloudy skies. "Good enough," the head human growled. He pointed, and the humans scurried to quickly erect a building. Hours later, the humans were becoming anxious. The rain was only getting worse, and their supply of wood was draining fast. They had completed the walls of the lower floor quickly enough, but it had taken them a lot of wood and it wasn't even floored. The leader commanded the miner to pick up an axe and help them gather wood. Suddenly, he was alerted that a carpenter had gotten himself stuck between walls. He let out a string of curses and yelled at the other workers. "What the fuck do you think you're doing?! You're blocking yourselves off too!"

My carpenters got themselves stuck in the walls.

And waste time? No, I moved them. And built beds and buckets.

Are your humans to be living entirely above ground, only going below the surface to mine, then? Must be a bit of a challenge.

Building your homes out of wood must be a resource-intensive project; probably requires more than one woodcutter/carpenter. What roles did you assign to your roster?

We're not going to use any rock unless it's 100% necessary. If I can substitute for wood, it's used.
