An ¤admantine umbrella¤ materializes in the hermits hand, it is encrusted whit star ruby, it menaces whit spikes of titanium, on the item is an image of a tentacle demon and an elf in cat leather, the tentacle demon [CENSURE] the elf, the elf is screming.

Without a large gravity well around the Sathanas can no longer jump to subspace.  

The commander would be happy to join in on an inter system elf killing spree but can no longer get around.

EDIT: Played too much BC3000 lately, mixed up hyperspace and subspace.
