My attempts at getting a Dwarfopoly world have seemed to often break the game program time and again.  Instead, I've elected to use a heavily populated (200 civ) pocket region with 40 caves in it.  With most of every embark square taken by one civilization or another, there should be constant warfare and adventure hooks being produced by the RNG each and every in-game year, which should make the world much more dynamic and chaotic.

SmallWorld

There are 40 caves in this world that will be the sites of the future temples for the Dwarfopoly section of the game.  Much like the other two, this will be a succession adventurer/fortress building game.  However, first comes a couple separate games used to build up the history of SmallWorld: "The City" and "The Bloodlines".  "The Bloodlines" is what I had going in the second Dwarfopoly game, involving naming strategies based on families.  However, "The Bloodlines" will be in a separate forum thread linked to this one so it isn't as confusing.  Who knows? perhaps we can get mate888 to provide his excellent family crests again.  Those were awesome!

"The City" Game

Dwarves in SmallWorld build Hamlets, Towns and Mead Halls, much like humans do, mining the earth for minerals, but living above it as well as below. While the Goldenbasis District is a 2x2 embark because it will be the seed upon which the rest of the City is built,  all other Districts will be 1x2 or 2x1 embarks: each fulfilling a specific role.  The roles and placement of each new district will be decided by poll and discussion, while the current district is being built, and will be hosted on the "City Planning" thread.  According to their purposes, each District will have one or more end goals, which will be discussed in further detail in the "City Planning" thread.
  Each District will be permanently retired if its end goals are met or every single dwarf in it has died.  There may be sections of The City where none currently live except for the ghosts of the unhappy dead and whatever dark creatures decide to make it their home.  However, some may be bustling metropolises, filled to bursting with hundreds of industrious workers.  So be it, this is The City.

End goal: to spread into every section of of the 16x16 District map.  By the end, The City will be comprised of 127 seperate Districts.  Once The City has completed the end goals of it's final District (or its residents have perished in the attempt), this portion of the SmallWorld game will be completed and the Dwarfopoly game can begin.

Goldenbasis District

The Dwarven kingdom of Tun Kab has built a Royal Mead Hall on top of The Malicious Cinder, a volcano, the seat of power for King Erolo. 
The Mead Hall is named The Golden Basis and is warmed by the volcano's fiery magma a couple lengths below. The plan is to enlarge the Mead Hall into a Royal Palace.

The Royal Highway snakes up the western face of the volcano to the site of the King's future palace at its peak. The Royal Highway is currently still being excavated, but will surely impress any traders who choose to travel its length. 

The North Stair provides a more expeditious route to the Palace for foot-traffic, passing through the North Gate and still others may elect to visit the Palace by entering through the East and South gates, each of which is protected by a drawbridge.

Main Goals:
   Build/excavate and furnish a proper palace for King Eralo to live in, with all the rooms and items a king requires.
   Build/excavate a Treasure vault for any artifacts or other prestige items that happen along.  Preferably filled with jeweled tables to showcase each marvel.
   Mint several stacks of Gold Coins to be placed in the Treasure Vault until they are needed by the other Districts as currency.
Minor Goals:
1) Build/excavate and furnish proper homes for all of the nobles and gentry living in this district as required by their positions. 
2) Build/excavate and furnish individual Clan homes for each Clan, one bed per dwarf.
3) Build and furnish a dormitory for non-clan affiliated dwarves.
4) There must be a minimum of one official road leading up to the Trade Depot from the edge of the embark, preferably several points of access to future Districts. (The pre-existing roads will help plan where the points of access will be, as well as The Royal Highway currently being excavated.)
5) All dead dwarves must be interred in a coffin and memorialized with a slab and statue (those dwarves unable to be interred due to magma mishap still need the coffin, slab and statue)

Deaths: 6 (
Year 10: Former Expedition leader Atiro and another Miner, Rovodo, fell to their deaths in a tragic accident while carving the Royal Highway.  They've been interred in the Atiro Memorial Catacomb, a short climb from the Royal Highway.  Oddly, Atiro's headstone reads "Loving Father", but he was never recorded as being married.  Was Atiro actually Goldenbasis' first Gentry? If so, what was his Clan name?

Year 11: Ablelo the Miner has suffered a fatal mishap while carving out the uppermost layer of the Royal Highway's watchtower.  He will be interred in an alcove just off the Royal Highway, after a short service.

Year 11: Kadoli the Miner died of thirst while her wounds were being tended by the doctor.  Says Doctor Ralo: "The lack of water in Goldenbasis District will make any injury possibly fatal."

Year 11: Domaso, the new expedition leader, was chasing a parrot when he tripped and fell over the edge of The Palace Crossroads into the bubbling magma below.  He will be memorialized in the graveyard after a short service. Taking his position will be Rovodi the Miner.

Year 12: Commander Ducimia and her daughter are missing, considered either taken by an Elven Druid and her companion or swallowed whole by the Malicious Cinder herself as some kind of bloodprice.

Year 12:Sheriff Avusia Sourcakes the Blessed, defender of the wall at the Battle of the North Stair. Her heroism will be memorialized in the Catacombs.

King Erolo of Clan Crowdedleashes

The Kingdom of Tun Kab and its first settlement, Risenes Hamlet, were founded when Eralo was crowned King, also founding Clan Crowdedlashed.  Eralo then appointed Tulono to be the General of Tun Kab, founding Clan Touchattics.  By popular vote, Mosuso was elected Mayor of Risenes Hamlet, founding Clan Goldencrater. Mengo, the wandering adventurer, decided at that time to make the fledgling kingdom his home. These dwarves then began construction on The Golden Basis, the seed from which the Capitol City would spread.

Several temporary workshops have been built out in the open, which will be moved to some proper crafting buildings in time.  The pyramid atop the Trading Depot also nears completion: a miniature peak that causes all dwarves to grin at its even symmetry.  The Royal Highway has been carved down thirty levels from the top of the Caldera - a good start to eventually connect with the Transverse road further down the slope.  A few levels below the current excavations, an observation spire is also planned to be carved out adjacent to the switchbacks of the Royal Highway - the better to keep secure watch on who travels up and down that lofty passage.

One of the three rooms of the Mead Hall has been repurposed to be a makeshift hospital, although the lack of water in the entire District still makes any infected wounds painful and likely to get worse.

One night while fast asleep, Feb the Royal Tax Collector had a vivid dream:

He beheld a great luminous blade-wheel spanning the sky.

It began to spin faster, faster, faster and ever faster until he could no longer even see the blades cleaving the air. 

The wheel spun faster still - the shrill whistles of the great blades rending the sky above became deafening, deadly howl!

He cowered below them, overcome with trembling terror!



All at once, and without warning, the wheel's edge dipped toward Feb's cowering form and touched him lightly upon his left shoulder.

The searing pain where it touched was a bright sparking thing, alive and filled with awesome vigor. 

His ears began to perceive a strange harmony in the passage of the titanic blades above,

Almost as if it were a mother, singing a sweet lullabye

But too big,

And too loud.

Too strange,

And too deadly.

The wheel then rose majestically into the sky and rushed away at a great and terrible speed,

leaving Feb to wake up gasping in terror and pain and...

Joy?

...

For it was with wonder and awe that Feb beheld the mark that had appeared on his left shoulder:

 

A perfectly round, bladed wheel at maximum spin.

Feb loudly thanked the Forii for its gift of pain and wonder -

The Dentedglaze clan was under the direct patronage of a minor deity!
