The mouth is moving pretty slow and steady, opening and closing  over long periods of time.

As Raven and Corven return from their third trek to nowhere, you take aim at the tree and fire at the trunk just a few feet from the ground. The round hits and detonates, blowing the tree into bloody mush and bone chips.

"Threat neutralized!" You shout, though its a bit covered up by a distant series of screams. You turn around to see the strange fluttering things that have been circling in the giant mouth's breath start to dive down towards you.

Pull myself out of the iron bottom.  Use that guy's discarded machete to cut away my pants to give a little more room to squeeze out.  Then try to climb up the giant wolf statue back to the third floor.  If anyone prefers to be stabbed, do that instead.

Description: A scrawny enlistee of vaguely Middle Eastern descent. Permanently in over his head, slightly confused and wondering just how he got into this mess. Will reluctantly but reliably follow orders from his commanding officers and do his best however.

Somehow managed to end up far away from home in 'Nam to fight the commies. This left him confused. Then he got teleported to this world of mystery and magic. This did not help matters.

Description: An older man past his prime, Corven still carries himself with the intimidating aura you'd expect from a crime boss... except when he's dealing with his daughter, who he's completely incapable of saying "No" to.  That usually works out better than you'd expect, since he managed to get her the formal education he never had, though he still has wisdom on her.  Has something of an unhealthy obsession with birds, though not nearly as much so as his daughter.

Raven and Corven are an utter embarrassment. They fire at...nothing, literally nothing. Corven fires straight up and Raven drops her  gun and yells "BANG!" at the bird things. Meanwhile Abu, master of the gun, fires three times and kills three of the flesh things, sending them spiraling down like falling leaves into the mouth. The rest break out of their swoop and scatter, sailing away.

That done, Corven wanders over to the mouth and sticks a hand in. Of course the teeth are, as previously mentioned, as big as multistory buildings so just sticking his hand into the mouth is a bit of a misnomer, like sticking his arm into the Grand Canyon. Yes, he did it but its not like he can really reach anything. The mouth doesn't snap shut though, so thats a good thing. He does notice something carved on the tooth nearest him; one of the symbols the Dreamers mentioned a "Cross Here" symbol and then a full set of words "Bridge of Teeth".
