Skill Design: "We've Got Ourselves A Mole"[2, 4, 3]Via what essentially amounts to the espionage version of brute force, we can place our agents inside mission-important entities. It's a
very crude method, but by having our agents simply applying for easy-to-get jobs within the target, we can eventually get some agents in.
Smuggling in weapons and tech is practically impossible. Our agents are in the target locations as the bottom of the barrel. They're afforded little flexibility; not performing particularly well already results in severe suspicion and attempting to bring in anything relatively out-of-the-ordinary can result in immediate firings and law enforcement called. Our agents must show up to work unarmed with a good work ethic. They're basically just regular employees.
At the moment, activation of our infiltrating agents is simple but (hopefully) effective. Infiltrating agents can't do the mission themselves. They're unarmed with no security clearance and that just doesn't work well with the skill level of the average agent. So we simply activate the agents when the main infiltration team arrives. They're still unarmed, but being able to motion for a janitor to tackle an intruding
KOSMIC agent seems to be quite useful in theory.
So we simply, through the regular job application & hiring process, get some agents hired at the target site in question. They act as regular employees until activated by non-infiltration
MOLE agents on-site manually activate them, which is when the infiltrating agents will join the rest of our forces while still unarmed. The key here is the element of surprise. Hopefully.
Unfortunately, our agents must apply with their actual credentials and identity. So with just a little snooping, enemies could easily find out much more about our agents than we'd be comfortable with them knowing. But we just didn't have time to develop a method of successfully forging an identity for this; crude or otherwise.
Because we have to actually go through the job application process unaided, not all agents are able to utilize this skill.
Expensive.WGOAM: "We Got Ourselves A MOLE" involves having multiple agents apply for jobs regularly at the target site and work there as normal employees. These infiltrating agents can be activated on-site by actual MOLE operatives, and will join the operation as unarmed agents hopefully originally considered by others to be regular employees.
It is now the Revision Phase. Vote for a Skill and Tech revision to be worked on this phase.
