Fleshrippers
Efficacy: 4 Cost: 4 Bugs: 5
Bootstrapping a new strain of genestealer is not difficult, however the current route of generational gestation is still causing issues with the
homovorous diet. The good news is, they can be fed exclusively on combat-capable devotees, and there is a supply of intergenerational cultists too mutated to join the standard cult militia.
The bad news is, these fathers and mothers need food and ameneties in the first place.
The smaller stature of the genestealers has resulted in a vastly shorter maturation period, so they still do cost less, however one genestealer per mother per five generations means that there is still a lot of fodder created in the making of one elite, which curbs the savings.
On the combat side, they are coming out as a tenuous success. The reduction in size from “taller than a man” to “half the size of a man” results in a tenacious goblinoid, with a power-to-weight ratio which ramps up their agility and makes them prone to pounces over alarmingly wide distances- however they no longer have the bulk necessary to grapple with human and superhuman enemies on as favourable a footing- if their (almost certain) pre-emptive attacks fail to cripple the enemy, they can be expected to take a beating in the retaliation.
Lastly, infiltration. Whilst they have proven themselves capable of digesting most materials with ease, certain “indigestible” substances still elude them. Despite this, they are capable of clearing a battlefield with gusto, albeit with limited effect. Their more robust digestive systems also allow for the fast metabolism of incorporated materials, meaning unlike the failed Ymgarls, they do not need to rest after feeding- however it should be noted that successive overeating will cause them to become less effective fighters as their bodies attempt to keep up
The additional research from the failed implementation of “garbage disposal ymgarls” has come in quite handy, however, and they have identified a gland found on the body of the armoured superhumans which could catapult the research forward. The scientists assure you that once one such has been received, a revision for
complete forensic obsfucation would be a guaranteed success.
Fleshripper Genestealers: Manpower: 40, Civilian Equipment: 25
Smaller but no less ferocious genestealers, capable of rending limb from torso, and then eating said limb, torso, sleeve and backpack in a flurry of industrious gore.Ability: “Feast” -
Fleshrippers will passively sterilize the scene of a battle they had previously won, losing mobility in return for a partial reduction of generated alarm. However, genestealers incur penalties to combat if engaged in combat immediately after feasting, intensifying with successive “feasted” turns, and mitigated by multiple feasting squads. It is now the revision phase. You have two dice remaining.
