Finally ,someone actually explains what's going on, giving some real information. Thanks, Tiruin. Very coherent and actually of interest.

No, I apologize. I meant IC. OOC I possibly know more about what's happening than you do. IC, Ed knows only what I've said before that he knows.

I know English is not your native language, and i know you take care to be as clear as you can.

Milo.
First: your plan of going to the control room and using the speaking tubes and PA system is great.
Second: It is good that yu stopped to help the dying man.
Third: Try getting some info from him while you work, if you can.

Well, I'll see what I can do. Hopefully I can stabilize him enough for that, but I'll be happy if I can just fix him up enough to move him.

@Radio Controlled: If you beat me to the bridge (which seems likely), I hope you take over my plan.

Sure, but talk while you repair. Maybe we can get info this turn instead of next. That's all I'm suggesting.

Quote
((Do you actually read people's posts? Obviously not. Obviously you don't know anything about WWII destroyers either. Honestly, my options of you as a GM keeps going down. Fine. Let me say it again: The mess hall on a WWII destroyer served double duty as the ship hospital. When the ship is at battle stations the area is cleared, and prepared for casualties. So yes. Medical locker.))

((Hey, PW is only human, so he misses things sometimes. It happens, nothing to get so worked up about (even though I've been frustrated about it myself in the past at times, it's not that I can't relate). If you wanna make sure he sees it, put it into your bolded action, so that even if he's short on time and rushes to get a turn out he'll see it and be able to process it.))
((Well then he the laziest GM I have ever seen in all my days, and is practically unworthy of the title.))
that's nice. take your whining to ooc, please.
Because I see nothiing going on on resolution and don't want tension to escalate, could I merely ask the impressions to dial down a bit? Judging a person by your knowledge expecting them to know what you know without communicating, doesn't help--much like saying one loses faith in humanity just by less than a handful of experiences. Impressions don't make communication, and nor does bringing everything to the superlative degree to communicate what you'd like, negatively.

Honestly I didn't even know it was also a medical ward, because of more familiarity to the ships of these days, and that it is seemingly difficult to note the exact specifications when I try searching for those details for ships in the past myself. If you know more, use your knowledge better than being bitter.

And if there is still some pride; think if you can judge another person 'unworthy' if you didn't try helping them out in the first place.

Add a bit of patience whenever you feel like judging others, please.

-snip-
(The mess hall on most destroyers doubled as the "hospital" IIRC, so there should be a locker with better supplies there, not to mention it being out of the weather.)
-snip-

Right after my action the turn before. There is no excuse for the GM not reading player posts. Also, there is a reason I take notes when running games.

Being a college graduate, knowing that Piece is in college, I can assume pretty legitimate reasons why someone can miss that and the exacts your statement confers. Stress happens. Priorities happen. :O Also you can PM or clarify it with the GM and it can be retcon'd if it's a good enough explanation--which is what you did.

I don't see where in any reasoning seeing 'excuse' should be, but I'd just like less tension and more thoughtfulness to communication. Personal attacks are not needed.

Yeh, he's not just a college student, he's a medical student.  Which takes a bunch of extra time or something, I think.  Also, running two very large and complex games simultaneously, while prolly making and testing more systems that we don't see, 'cause Dubs is always doing that...

But no, he's max lazy at GMing.  Like, he always has people keep sheets, and track of their inventories, ever since Perplexicon.  Kinda made sense when there were thirty people in that and like fifty in ER, but he's just spoiled now...  Amazing people don't just screw off and stop playing his games, but noooo, they're too good or something.  People've no taste nowadays, Piecewise is just the absolute worst sort of GM... can't even take notes...

"I think?"
It does :P
I can relate more then! Having been a pre-med student, and during that time I decided to run my RtD (still in my signature because sentimentality :'(), it died because of said college stress. :-\ But I'm pretty happy at seeing this one chugging on--some kind of liaison or something may help when people see themselves left out, but I haven't seen Piece leave out people when they've acted (to retcon) things back in future turns. :O (Referencing Joan on the Paradrop mission, I missed a turn or so because of reasons, but got retcon'd because yay Piece).

I am fallible Milo, I miss things. Part of why I say to bold all actions or anything important is not because I won't read it otherwise but because I MIGHT NOT. I read through posts and try to catch the big stuff, but I can miss things.  Its part of the reason I have people keep their own sheets. When one person keeps one sheet there is a hell of a lot fewer chances to make mistake than when I keep 20.

So I'm sorry I missed that info. The guy was basically already stabilized and set up as best as he was gonna be so I didn't feel like we were really in a crisis moment if you didn't get that resolved immediately.

As per my knowledge of WWII, No, I am by no means an expert or even a novice. I've been doing research on it and trying to keep accurate to the parts I want to keep accurate to, but a lot of very detailed info is not readily available online. For instance, the medical locker in the Galley/mess hall. I've been looking for a reference to that for about 45 minutes now and can't find one.  I found a map here
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/4/4b/Fletcher-class_destroyer_technical_drawing_1954.jpg/1280px-Fletcher-class_destroyer_technical_drawing_1954.jpg

That puts the medical supply room and Galley near each other.

While this book
https://books.google.com/books?id=1DdWfsaZHVQC&pg=PA151&lpg=PA151&dq=WWII+destroyer+medical+locker&source=bl&ots=onw_G4GDDU&sig=zulPWmaVN9vgCSVwn0qskggkdi0&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjL-tjzmO7XAhVQx2MKHR-4AFwQ6AEIRDAH#v=onepage&q=medical&f=false

States that at least the Destroyer "Dobbin" had a large medbay.

This is actually something I had been wondering since no map I can find of the kind of ship we're on has a medbay. But I cannot for the life of me find information related to what you're saying. If you want to point me in the right direction I would be grateful.

As per your turn we'll retcon it to say that you got the supplies and really REALLY got that guy doctored up and stable.

Snipped like a Jewish boy on his brit milah.
I'm not sure I understand you here. Far as I can see/intended, I only said that pw isn't infallible, that I can sympathize with his frustration but advise not to get so worked up about it, and gave a specific tip on how to avoid it from happening in the future. How is that judging or being bitter? It's basically the same as you and pw himself said later.

Snipped again like a very unfortunate Jewish Wolverine.
I put it in my action to inform people, so you can assume you have all the IC knowledge that I have. I could still type it out if you wanted to really rp it out though, but I figured it'd be mostly copying pw's descriptions anyway.

((Well then he the laziest GM I have ever seen in all my days, and is practically unworthy of the title.))

Piecewise is easily the G.O.A.T. Bay 12 GM. There's a debate to be had, as always, but anyone that says that Piecewise isn't among the top 3 most legendary GMs in the history of this website is acting a fool. Einsteinian Roulette alone exceeds every other game in player count, length, and scale, to the point where it created an entire new sub-forum for RTDs, and its not even close.

Keeping up with a non-capped amount of players in every game (which most GMs can't do) to process turns on a regular basis (something else most GMs fail at, at some point or another) is nigh impossible enough. If Piecewise had to take down every detail, or even most details, these games would never happen. The result is not perfect or very pretty, but the mere fact that it exists is a testament to his ability. Piecewise is as lazy as a young Henry Ford on an eightball of crack.

I'm not even trying to change anyone's opinion here, but I'm not going to sit around silently when someone comes at my mans' like that. Not giving PW props wouldn't be responsible.

That was all to milo, not you. :P

BUT, I would love it for the Radioman-man to come accompany the TOPSIDE STRIKE TEAM.
We can totally do some damage before retreating!
