Character SheetsAVATAR LEGEND (IC Thread)
This RTD is hosted in a succession format meaning turns will be taken in telling the story. You do not ever have to do this if you don't want to.
A host has 3 days from the 1st player action to publish the next update. After this passing a new host can take over the story where they left off.
When a battle or situation has ended or changed significantly, the host should summarize what happened in the last chapter and give it a name. The newest chapter is simply called the "current chapter".
Sometimes something may come up and you are unable to finish hosting, that's ok. If you are invested in some plot, you may wish to designate someone as keeper of these "secret notes" so a new host can PM them when you are offline.
You can also give general directions here, such as which characters to avoid using or what set pieces you have plans for. But do try to be flexible.
[spoiler=World]An archipelago of mystery. A cluster of land masses with different properties. These islands are sometimes stable, sometimes their characteristics and places of interest change, and it seems they are special in their own way.
Stable Islands: they stay the same but can still have very uncanny places that may be inspired or borrow from Avatar home locations and characters. They tend to be smaller(and rarer) than the next type. For stories with locations that will probably be revisited often.
Changing Islands: Nothing is very sure to stick in these places. They may have ancient structures that are simply not there the next time, or weren't there before. Things seem to warp in and out of existence on a whim. For stories with locations that will likely not be revisited.
RP Islands: these are usually the smallest, they are a strange place indeed. For stories without a host.[/ spoiler]
[ spoiler=Format: New Chapter (relaxed)]
Link to the last chapter.
Give the last chapter a name.
-Choose a fitting name, but one that is vague enough to not spoil unexpected plot points.
Summarize the last chapter.
-Only details necessary to understand the situation if joining in.
Summarize any important character info such as health and current items if this is a continuation of the last chapter's setting.
Start your new chapter by completing player actions(if this is a continuation) or by establishing the setting(if it is not).
Give details about any special rules you have, such as the use of powers and abilities. Or special starting circumstances for new or returning players.
Do not name your chapter, that happens when the next one starts and yours is summarized by you or the next host if that isn't you.
At that time it would be desirable that you edit in a link to the next chapter, and add this one's name.[/ spoiler]
