I would like to report to the state that I tried testing the communist greetings interaction and put all of the files in the described places under the described names. It was unsuccessful in fortress mode and in adventure interaction always came up as "unknown interaction". I would like to file a formal request for a state RAW mechanic to help look into this issue that could potentially harm they foundation of glorious communism among our people.

That is worrying news, comrade. We may have to send these failing communists to re-education camp. Could you describe the issue further - when in adventure mode, does the interaction do anything? Has the CDI been added to the relevant communist creature, in your case presumably Koopas? Last, what does the errorlog say about any of the communist interactions?

In adventure mode the interaction does nothing, yes I made sure that they have the CDI. I've tried looking through the errorlog, but it's longer than the distance from the mountain home to the sun. It's filled with "Unrecognized entity weapon token: ITEM_WEAPON_SWORD_SHORT" and the like. Stuff that I know works and even the untouched base game stuff is coming up as an error, so even if I could find the specific instance of communist disobedience I'm not sure it would yield any information. I made a minor change that I think might help though, so I'll see if that fixes it. If it does, then it was error on my part, if it doesn't, I have no idea what's wrong.

(It's going to have to happen tomorrow, but I will get to the bottom of this)

That iz indeed worrying newz Komeradez.

Well, I've thought up some enemy ideas to mod in, but I don't know if they'd fit the theme. (Although adding guns for dwarves only does fit). They're called the Collective. (Aka: Borg. Your assimilation is inevitable.) Set as thieves and snatchers for double at war/hostile. They'll use simple guns of varying sizes and fire rates (if possible). (Basically modified crossbows shooting iron bullets at high speed). The Collective comes in several metal flavors/classes depending on their caste/whatever. And I'd like them to bleed a white fluid that is toxic in some fashion (and maybe turns anyone who drinks it into whatever class it came from?) toxic in potentially making the pain nerves numb? ;)

Collective Scout: The thieves/snatchers. Small, fast, stealthy, don't have much firepower. A single, basic gun with basic fire rate. Made of Aluminum. Subclass: Collective Scout Assimilator. Quite large, four legs, four basic guns, made of bronze. Spits extract that changes whatever living being it hits into a Collective Scout.

Collective Lesser Soldier: Most common proper combat class. Made of copper. 2 basic guns with a melee weapon (Iron spear?) Human in size. Subclass: Collective Lesser Soldier Assimilator. See Scout Assimilator. Extract makes Lesser Soldiers. Has a spiked tail for melee.

Collective Greater Soldier: The leaders of the Lesser soldiers. Made of iron. A big gun, a fast shooting gun, and powerful melee weapon. Trolls in size and building destroyer. Subclass: Collective Greater Soldier Assimilator. (You get the idea.) Two big guns, two small guns, and a melee tail.

Other ideas are appreciated!

These are communistic dwarves, collectivist species should be friends not foes...Hey there's an idea, we should look for a way to make ant people into Satilite Socialist Republics.

That would be interesting.

Huh, I am seeing no mods that even make ant people have access to metal....I WILL HAVE TO RECTIFY THIS....during winter break after I learn about modding this seemingly easy to mod game.

It's easy to modify existing stuff, but you need more than a basic understanding to make anything from scratch. Even then, it's substantially easier to mod in this game than most other games.

It wouldn't quite be from scratch, I have attempted to mod the game at least once before, and It is not like I will be making an entirely new creature, at most some renaming and ethics modifications should do the trick, right ???

Yeah. No need to make custom animations or sprites. Outside of color palettes anyway.

And that would work. Although we could mod them to be pets of sorts that do stuff that we can bring along at embark to help? Or make them tamable. Because buffer state military. ;)

As for the Collective, they are machines of perfect unity. They see all organic life as disunity and it will never be unity until all organics are killed or assimilated. Perhaps I could add a flamethrower variant just to fuck with the elves...

I also support the idea of ant people. I'm not sure whether we should have them as a friendly communist civ or as additional laborers though. We should probably put that up to a vote.
