"But before you go, I'd like you to all to have that meeting with Squad Brenhart and see what they have to say. It never hurts to take advice from your comrades."

"Dismissed."


Upon returning to the barracks, Squad Eckert meets with Squad Brenhart for a short while.

"I'm glad you all came. I know you're probably tired of the basics by now, so we'll do a short advanced drill instead. Everyone find a partner . . ."

The instruction goes well. Everyone feels like they learned plenty. +100 EXP!


— — [Chapter 1 - Slight Complications] — —

After their meeting with Squad Brenhart, Squad Eckert gathered a few supplies for themselves and set off towards Fort Ashton. However, there were a few slight complications in their journey hardly before evening had even arrived...

The squad arrives in a small clearing in the outskirts of the Verduuni Forest when they hear a troubling exchange take place.

"Damn it, damn it, damn it! Where the hell is that little thief? We tracked her all the way out from her little hovel in Verduuni, you can't be telling me we've lost her NOW."

"I swear, when I get my hands on her, I'm gonna take my Sonya here and--"

"Aaaiiieee! Get off of me, you-- freak!"

"I found her, boss! And the sword she took! Still as shiny as when we knocked that soldier boy over for it, gweheh."

"Ohhh, Butch, you've done it again! Finally! Don't let her get away... I wanna have some words with the dear."


However, right then three men jumped out from the trees, brandishing weapons.

"'Ey, boss! We got some 'ero-lookin' types over 'ere!"


"Then kill 'em, you idiots. Can't be that hard for you, can it? Butch! Keep our captive right where she is or it's your ass! And you two over there, eyes on the river. This place is locked down until the problem's dealt with!"


Meanwhile, across the river, a pair of sisters witnessed the whole spectacle from the woods, but not unseen...

"Hey, did you just see something over there? Right past the trees?"

"I think so. What is it...?"


//Aiesha and Sybella Lysteria are in!

Objectives: Clear the map. Optional: Save the thief(?).
Note: Death is now final.

"Well, they see us. So that's not really great." Aiesha moved to a half crouch as unpleasant looking men with longbows eyed herself and her sister. "And they've got some girl held hostage too. I don't suppose you're up for a bit of daring-do? We can't exactly just leave her."
