Noob question about Adventure Mode
« on: August 29, 2017, 05:46:26 am »

Hey, what exactly is the point of wrestling takedowns? Does it do anything other than render both you and your opponent prone?

Also, is there a way to sprint or anything like that in Adventure mode?

1) AFAIK takedowns only take fown your opponent.

2) Press S, then select the sprint option, then ESC. You'll move faster but get tired quickly.

Yeah, renders opponent prone. Also, if there is a contaminant on the ground you can get them covered in it.

Attacks against a prone opponent are twice as effective as those same attacks against a standing one.

Thanks ;) One other question, when I'm looking around, is there a way to raise or lower the Z level?

Should be the same key as Z-level up/down in fortress mode. Push ? to get a list of commands.

Works for both looking and talking so you can shout up at elves in the top of their trees without risking climbing up yourself.

1. The takedown throws your enemie down. That makes it easier to hit an enemie that often dodge.
2. Press shift+s. There you can choose your Speed. You can turn it up to sprint(or run or Jogging) and down to crawl.
But faster moving Needs more endurance.

In this menu you can press "s" to sneak.
