Alana sighed and followed along behind Kard. If she was being honest, she'd been enjoying the attention. Still, he wasn't wrong. Following behind him, she called out,

"General Cullen, I've some news. While exploring, I encountered a strange magician. I believe he might have known you. I was trying to get a name and information from him, but he said something about not wanting to be found by a general and then disappeared, leaving behind only this axe."

Hall eventually makes his way over to Selkie, who he looks over with a little more than just professional courtesy.
"Selkie, are you okay? No injuries, you're not hungry, no one did anything untoward to you?"

"What!?" Cullen growled. "I need to be sure of who you saw. Describe his appearance."

Elanore tried to look proud, or at least it seemed to be what she was going for, as she took back the staff.

"I wouldn't help them, so they locked it away. That's when they dragged Dain off too, to try and force me to help!"

Dain for his part looked mildly ashamed.

"I tried to run, but, well, when you've got a bad leg it's hard to make a daring escape. Next thing you know they slapped this bracelet on me and told me to start blasting people. Though with how slow I was I don't think I even got close enough to use it."

Kard simply raised an eyebrow. He hadn't seen the man himself, of course. But it seemed he'd been right to have the matter brought to the General's attentions.

"You did the right thing." Leon told Elanore approvingly.

"And while I'd like to say you could've resisted harder, knowing to go along with their stupidity just long enough allowed you to survive and be reunited with Elanore." he added as he turned to Dain.

"Erm... He had brown hair, glasses... Seemed rather distracted. Had a heavy red cloak?"

Selkie dusted herself off a bit after her brief part in the fight, before responding to Hallbjorn.

"I'm fine, Hall. The most they did was be a bit rough when they searched everyone for hidden weapons. I think they were too scared to try anything more. For good reason!" she paused for a few moments, before continuing. "It's definitely good to see you though. We were in there like a week, and I was getting pretty annoyed..."

Of course, Twin is neither man nor woman but an unholy eldritch abomination like every other Bay12er. The difference is they hide it better.

Hall nods at that.
"It's good to see you as well. And it's good that you're fine... er, great that.... I'm glad you're okay. Is what I mean."
He pats her on the shoulder awkwardly.

With his report to the General evidently having gone over surprisingly well, the blonde swordsman plodded over to a nearby wall, and leaned against it for a few moments, developing a bit of a rueful smile. He let out a long breath, and then muttered something:
:"Whew... heh, now I think I know what Dad felt like."

"That's him alright. Bastard started stealing rare weapons and supplies right before the rebellion started. If you can, capture him; but don't egg him on. He's proven to be destructive if angered and his magical might is nothing to scoff at."

Cullen's stoic look faltered briefly as he remembered that Leon had seen the man too. Since the mayor had yet to regain consciousness now seemed as good a time as any to speak with him about it.

"Clean up the villagers bodies before the mayor wakes up. The less he sees before we interrogate him the better." Cullen ordered as he clanked out of the room.

"Well thanks! Hope your superior agrees though..."

As if on cue, Cullen approached Leon and his new friends. However, aside from a look that said "I'll deal with you later", he ignored the villagers.

"Leon, there's something we need to discuss. Follow me."

With that, he clanked off to the north.

"Oh boy."

"Sir, yes Sir." Leon gave the villagers a last look before following behind Cullen.

Sverrand, who had up until that point been standing quietly off to the side with a funny look on his face, begins clearing out the remains of the rebels without speaking.

Malthe saluted the general and then set about accomplishing the order, starting with Baires' body.

"Kard, Sverrand and... Krisitjian was it? You wouldn't mind helping out in clearing up these bodies?"

"And Matthias, take... Alana and go through the bodies and see if there's anything on them that might be helpful."

"Yeah yeah, I guess. I suppose we can't leave them around to stink up the place. Where do you want the stiffs? Just outside, or what?" Kard grabbed the nearest body by both wrists in such a way that he could drag it while facing forward.

”...But I already am.”

Indeed; he had one of the unfortunate mages slung over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes.
