"And I'm not the one talking about plowing dead people. Which is especially weird considering our current position. So get off my back."

Alana weighed the axe that the strange man had given her with a grin. This was a good weapon even if the man was weird and not to be trusted. Speaking of weird things...

"While the translation offered is not quite accurate..."

She chuckled and shook her head.

"Your reaction to all of this is amusing, Matt. Perhaps you protest a bit too much, but amusing nonetheless. But still, Kard, Malthe, be nice to the poor man."

[SOLDIER First]

”Get off your back...? You’re the one in the wrong here.”

“And it was all a misunderstanding in the first place. Maybe we should focus a little more on the living dead trying to kill us instead of making crude jokes at our allies’ expense, how about that?”

[Blade Master Model 42]

"Ho shit, did you get a promotion that I never heard about? Since uh, last time I checked, I don't take orders from you."

[SOLDIER First]

”You’re a lot dumber than you look if you think my displaying some common sense was an order, Egos. But if you aren’t willing to cooperate, you’re welcome to keep running your mouth. I’m sure the corpses of our former allies will love your jokes while they tear your throat out.”

Alana covered her mouth, faking a cough as she smirked at Kard's response. While he was rude, he also wasn't wrong and it was hard to take the threat of the zombies too seriously when they were almost all dead already.

"Neither of you are exactly in the right, and perhaps if you want him to stop, you should stop responding to him. We're not exactly in a tight spot here, a bit of levity is not a bad thing. It can help us all to laugh some, even if it's at someone else's expense." Poor Matt

Kard wasn't ready to let up. "Even if that were the case, I'd at least be smarter than you look. And act. And sound."

[SOLDIER First]

”Oh, you’ve already run out of things to say? Good, I was getting annoyed by this conversation. Insult me all you want, it won’t mean a damn thing.”

Sverrand boredly lifts his sword and directs it at their former countrymen.

”If you’ll excuse me, again, we have a problem to take care of right now.”

"Alright then, you're excused again."

[SOLDIER First]

”That’s very gracious of you. Thank you.”

[Swordstar]

Alana scooted over until she was standing near Kard, and quietly whispered to him,

"You know that arguing with him won't change anything, right? He's still going to be just as stubborn."

[Blade Master Model 42]

"I don't stop doing something just because it doesn't get me results. Maybe you noticed." Kard said, not bothering to lower his voice. "Sometimes the fun is in doing things, rather than what you get out of it at the end."

[Swordstar]

Alana smirked, clearly thinking about something specific.

"That's fair. You certainly are stubborn, I can give you that. So you just like getting a rise out of him I suppose. Amazing the two of you managed to survive being in the same squad so long."

[Blade Master Model 42]

"He's harmless. He wouldn't lay a finger on me without a direct order, and its just as well. Not that I would try to hurt him without a good reason either..." Kard trailed off.

[Swordstar]

"I suppose that is fair. He can't do much of anything without orders it seems. As for you... I suppose it depends on what you consider a good reason or not to make what I said wrong."
