The door opened with a creak and revealed a quintet of people in the cell. Most of them appeared well armored, if a tad worse for wear. Perhaps they were an earlier team that had fallen victim to the rebel's trap?

"Oh! There are prisoners in here! Your armor... Are you soldiers of Astrasia?"

"They had prisoners! Rebellious scumbags!" The sight of prisoners seemed to rekindle Leon's rage at the enemies, pegasus or not.

[SOLDIER First]

A man wearing what looks like half his body weight in armor stands up, the many black plates on his body clanking loudly.

"We are. Who are you?”

His voice is deep and he speaks a little slowly.

[Swordstar]

"We are Astrasian soldiers, come to end this rebellion. How did you all get captured? How long have you been here? Who is the leader of your squad?"

There was still the slim possibility that this was a trick, meant to get them to let their guard down. Alana wasn't going to welcome them with open arms just yet.

[SOLDIER First]

"Their mages snuck up on us. We’ve been here for a week. Our leader is Captain Greiton.”

He doesn’t seem happy about all the questions.

Though Mydis was relieved, that had been impossible to say with a straight face.

"Yup, what he said. They took the captain somewhere else, so he's probably dead."

Matt turned to see what all the hubbub was about.

"What are you guys on abo..."

"Hey, you. Are you a Jaegerschenck?"

He had been away from his family for a very long time, but one of the soldiers in the cell looked like a younger version of how Matthias remembered his dad, the last time he had seen him sixteen years ago.

"Or he might be a traitor. I don't know why they'd go to the trouble of keeping him separate when they locked us all up together." Kard looked at the woman standing in the doorway. "I don't suppose you've got extra weapons on you? I'm ready to carve these bastards up but not with my bare hands."

"Oh, uhm... I don't know. Our leader may... General Cullen! Do you have spare weapons? We have soldiers of Astrasia in here that want to fight with us."

She glanced back at the man who had asked, smiling a little at him.

"I'm sure if he doesn't that we can find something for you. Any help you can give us will be greatly appreciated."
