Alright. So. Can people not officially in a gambit play cards in that gambit?

Nope they cannot. If you are not in the gambit you cannot play cards.

However i don't necessarily announce when you are in a gambit (that is if you want to stay hidden), you can keep your involvement unknown, especially if you are an emergent house thats extremely practical to still defeat stronger houses.

Reading the Deck of Dragons might reveal it. Requires a card in the gambit however. the Stronger the Card (and whether it is open or hidden) the stronger the reading. Very Strong readings might cause cards to autoplay themselves.

Beyond that Playing Orb reveals to you all cards in the gambit.

Really though, those two only tell you what cards are in play, not who is playing them. To figure that one out, there is only logical deduction and hoping that like a game of mafia, you figured out the right oponent.

Varalin....is certainly going to feel like a happier sort. I think that would have definitely helped her.

So, is it possible that a card was auto-played due to the deployment of the Deathslayer? You'd think that if nothing else got played, the Deathslayer alone would not be enough to auto-play a card... right?

Even if a card would have been autoplayed it would have been played openly in all probability.

First things first crazyabe you cannot start a gambit with that avatar...since its not really a thing. Its not a card within your house (aka knight, magi etc.) and as far as i have gathered it was supposed to be a mindless construct or an item. However if you mean to appear personally on the field with that action, that would be possible. It would mean however that you jump into that gambit personally, (aka your card is played whether you have it or not). Considering the difference in strength i advise you not to take that action since Phalanalins Knight would simply kill you.

That aside though, you can open up a gambit without immediately playing something. I'll help you out with the rest via PM.

I Meant that I was going to openly play myself concealed, and since possessing a mortal reduces power levels hopefully not destroy everyone/thing, I Don't need to do that now, as I got a deal with another player over the discord that will work MUCH better when he posts.
