Yeah I just can't see a torture god working out well. Gods can be evil, but a god who's whole thing is evil just wouldn't fit with the game works. At least, in my opinion that is.

Oh no, it's perfect. A pantheon works great with a devil figure. After all, if the mortals know that their gods are protecting them from an even more dickish god, then they have actual incentive to worship. Like Set and Apep. Set may be a dick, but at least he ain't bringing about the End of All Things and genuinely likes his followers.
