He reached out with his mind and left a shard of truth next to her temple.
Like I said, capital-T Truth. Okay, he didn't literally use a capital T. But he is talking about the concept of truth made manifest.

Let me take that piece you have in context:
He reached out with his mind and left a shard of truth next to her temple. A towering black obelisk carved with many swirling and changing patterns. Yet any who looked upon it would know what it said.  It was a catalog of all the changes the gods had made to the world and details about those gods.[/i]
That shard of truth was the obelisk, and, as it says here, that obelisk is specifically a catalog of what the gods have done, and which ones did it. Sure, it's truth made manifest, but it's a very specific piece - and one that I'd say is probably easy enough to understand.

So like, is my action something that needs to be changed? Because I have a back-up action. But it seems like it would be unfair to change it after all of this hullabaloo.

You can still get your hounds you just can't have them dive in to the gambit right away. And as the god of strength I would honestly recommend building your deck up a bit with cards so that when you do when up in a gambit you have some forces for the inevitable time when a gambit escalates.

Micelus, I'm taking the discussion OOC because it's kinda getting meta-gamey, but given the reformed description of "One solar body per Act" I think I can blow it up.

I actually had the thought awhile ago. I almost want to try it, just to see the fireworks....

Sadly, my character does creation, and while reforging DOES fall under the heading of "Creation" it's really not worth picking up all the pieces after you blow planets to bits.

But I had my moment of fun with the "I can blow up planets! WOOOO!". Anyway, can we try NOT to escalate our first gambit instantly?

Maybe it's a good time to test the concealed/low-key methods of gaining power?

Theoretically Jerick really has no reason to continue the Gambit. In any case if your House has suceeded with its goals in a gambit it can simply leave the gambit successfully without losing assets. That is if no one else tries to stop them.

Also basically what Jerick said. The Knight has been ordered to do something, whether he actually does it is an entirely different matter. With that being said once the gambit begins neither Hounds nor Knight will be active, they might be close by and they might be watching but for now they are merely observers in a conflict which is unfolding on the mortal level. That is if we find anyone somewhat coherent enough to decide which of the Maddening Mindwarping Horrors from space to worship.

As for the Obelisk. Imagine you having no concept of writing, masonry building, gods, magic or anything beyond your immediate body, those others of your kind and maybe your direct surroundings. And suddenly a massive black pillar shoots out of the ground, it itself glowing with maddening foreign swirls which you can't make heads or tails of yet somehow they still invade your mind to force you to understand the Truth. That you are nothing but an insignificant being in a Universe created by these monstrous beings, that you are but a speck in existence, and that you have been created on a whim, that you could be wiped out by the casual flip of a finger as these divine beings argue about who you have to apparently thank for your existence although its clearly warped into your mind that it was one of them, who hasn't done all that much beyond creating you. Add that to the rest of the ongoing situation and theres your explanationa s to why that obelisk is just as fucked up and terrifying to them as the rest of existence currently is.

Yeah, except my goal isn't to fight or even to get hounds. It's to keep mortals out of the Temple of Lies. But eh, I'd rather the game keep moving than worry about it. Now that I see more clearly how the rules and creation go, I'd much rather just open a sink hole under the temple and bury it beneath the earth. But it seems like the time to reconsider actions is past.

Yup that's Ralkieis for you he'll tell you the truth but is utterly indifferent to you surviving the process intact.

Ahem.
Or they could just choose the guy that made them, and who kinda looks like them, and would like them to continue existing peacefully, and who actually made the planet that they live on habitable.

As well as the god who while overemotional as hell clearly sees value beyond worship in their lives.

Ehh? The Tutelospera isn't the one escalating. Notice how it hasn't acted at all towards your counteract and that it has been trying to be diplomatic towards your god, even though it still has yet another act to make use of. If your god *does* destroy the Second world, the Tutelospera will be somewhat miffed but will do the equivalent of a shrug. It hasn't invested too much on it yet.

I was going to say what are you talking about, you left them to suffocate- but then I noticed you performed some major retconjuration. Now, this is just me, but if I feel the need to edit my actions after people have already responded to them, I try to make sure that the actions reacting to it still make sense. Hence why I still built a temple and still sent in a being of unimaginable power. You've made at least two actions totally unnecessary, and at least one other make a lot less sense.

I think I can blow it up.

I think he's planning on destroying the First World. You know, the one other people have invested half a dozen actions into.

Gents you might want to check over your previous actions since Glass did some major retconning on his, i shudder to think how much of the ongoing RP that has made obsolete or senseless, but oh well.
In the future please try and avoid rectonning two pages after the action and instead think before you act.

That being said the retconning should give Abstract Traitor and Roboson one act back, but otherwise things should continue as before if i am seeing the situation right.
