[Sirus]

: "Technically I'm not a full nun yet. The Temple of Di is very...old-fashioned. Newcomers are considered initiates for a full fifteen years before they take their final vows and become full-fledged nuns or priests. They want to make sure that you really are dedicated, I suppose. I joined them when I was ten, so that would be...thirteen years now?"

What about you? I know your combat training started just recently, but how long have you been a healer?"

[Swordstar]

"Oh, I see. A long time then. Well... I started training with my grandmother when I was about... 7? So around eleven years I guess. And yeah... Combat is a new thing. It was never something I could... focus on. Until now."

[Sirus]

: "That's a respectable amount of time, and it shows in your skill. I'm confident that you'll pick up fighting quickly!"

[Zetaark]

Having arrived at the port city of Di, Angelica seeks out Gawen to speak to her about some matter.


"Hello, you mentioned a while ago that you wanted to talk?"

[Chevaleresse]

"Yes. If you would. . ." Gawen led Angelica a short distance into the crowd, pitching her voice low to avoid being listened in on.
"I do not trust this group, royal employ or no. There is a strong chance they may be plotting against me, perhaps out of some belief that I will endanger their fortune. If they do betray me. . . If you can, I need you to get out as quickly as possible. Do not waste time attempting to save me; seek out my father immediately and tell him my fate and what you know of their next plans." She paused for a moment, seemingly considering her next words. Then, she shook her head.
"Do you understand?"

[Zetaark]

"Personally I think that you're overreacting just a tad. Given recent events and whatnot, the others are probably wary of you, but I don't quite see them taking such drastic action. However, in the event that something does happen, I'll make sure that both of us escape and inform your family of what happened. Don't think for a moment that I plan on abandoning you. Got it?" she responds with a stern voice before lightening up a bit.


"Now, while we're in town, would you like to go for a bit of window shopping?

[Caellath]

"It is shopping time yet again and the smith here is as hard as a deal as there can be. I admit there could be better situations." Claude commented as he mentally started cracking numbers.

[Chevaleresse]

"Angelica, I am serious. This is something far more important than my own life, and I don't want you throwing yours away in a pointless attempt to rescue me if it comes to it. No, I am not convinced that they would stray that far, but it is better to prepare for the worst and waste the effort than not prepare and wish you had."

[Zetaark]

"I won't be throwing away my own life, but I'm certainly not going to let you throw away yours. No ifs, ands, or buts. If I'm unable to save you, then that's how it is, but I'm certainly not going to abandon you. Alright? she states in a much firmer tone than before.


"Now I understand that you have your opinions about this group, but at the very least try not to put too much suspicion on yourself. Some of them are probably as distrusting of you as you are of them, and the last thing we need is that distrust going too far. Otherwise they may actually go that far. So for now, just wait, watch, and come shopping with me, alright?

[Chevaleresse]

"A fair point. I, for one, have no plans on acting against them unless they prove themselves beyond a reasonable doubt to be villains. But yes, let us go. It never hurts to be ready for another fight." She threw in a small grin at Angelica with this last.

[Zetaark]

"Hopefully the next fight won't be one you helped cause. But yes, let's see what the shops around here have to offer." she says with a smile as the pair go out to find some decent shops.

[Chevaleresse]

"I didn't cause the last one! It was already started when I arrived."

[Zetaark]

"Yes, yes," Angelica laughed a bit, as the two went out in search of some decent shops.

[Sirus]

Eventually, Amberly and Lysander (and anyone else who sneakily came along?) arrive at the docks.

: "I've never been on a ship before! Which one is yours?"

[Haspen]

Ethan, who did sneakily tag along with the most important of his crew (and Amberly), pointed at the docks.

"That one." His finger was pointing at two large caravels, with additional crew and ballistas and...

No no, not these ones.

To a pier behind them, there was a small carrack, moored with a single line. In fact, one could easily hide it in one of those caravels.

"Ain't Blackbones a beauty?"
