"I will admit that Abbess' decision was very sudden, so unfortunately I am not carrying much either. Well, aside from a few books and a tome."

If Ashlyn was aware of the ever-growing crowd watching her and Lysander she didn't show it. She was, however, worried about how Lysander had frozen in place for a second. Unfortunately, now was hardly the time to get distracted. Lysander's dagger caught her arm and added to the pain she hadn't expected he was capable of inflicting on her with mock weapons.

She wasn't just going to let him back off though, no one in a real fight would. She more or less jumped at him; her swing was telegraphed and her course unchanging. She hoped it would give Lysander a clear enough sign to dodge.

[Haspen]

Ethan was busy thinking and considering his options for a long while. The training fight nearby didn't make his eyes wander - even if there was a lot for eyes to wander at - but instead helped him concentrate. Finally, he stepped closer to the rest of the crew.

"We will keep the orb and use it to find the royal treasures. All of them."

[Swordstar]

Lysander had started to take another step back when Ash jumped straight at him. In an attempt to twist away, he ended up getting his legs all tangled up and ended up collapsing as Ash's club thudded into his shoulder. In an attempt to stay up, they grabbed at her arm, but ended up just bringing both of them down into a tangle on the ground. Embarrassed at their mistakes, they buried their head in their hands, refusing to even look at Ashlyn much less talk to her after that.

It happened too fast for Ashlyn to understand what had really happened. She saw her hit connect with Lys' shoulder and suddenly she was on top of him. She hadn't really thought about it until now, but Lys wasn't actually much bigger than her. He wasn't much taller, she knew she could still grow, and his frame was pretty similar to hers. She shook her head; why should she care about that?

She managed to roll herself off of him after a little time untangling her limbs from his.

"You okay, Lysander? I didn't think I'd hit you hard enough to make you collapse like that. Sorry."

[Zetaark]

"Oh my!" she could only gasp as she saw Lysander and Ashlyn fall and get tangled up. She took a brief note of both of their reactions before realizing that the rest of the group happened to be watching. Moving towards them, she healed the both of them before kneeling in front of Lysander to hopefully keep him from noticing the crowd.


"That was quite a blow and a fall. Are you alright Lysander?"

[Swordstar]

"Ugh, that was dumb. You didn't hit me, I just... tripped over my own two feet... Thanks Angelica..."

Dejectedly standing to their feet, they looked over towards Ethan in time to see a fair amount of the group just standing around watching them.

"Ah, were they... watching... No, ha..."

His face quickly turned bright red as he realized he'd made a fool of himself in front of the whole crew. Collapsing back down into a sitting position, he quickly covered up his face again and just shook his head.

"Good to know everyone knows how bad of a fighter I am now... And my inability to stay on my own two feet."

[Zetaark]

"If it means anything, for someone who's only recently took up arms, I'd say you did alright. And besides, you're training in order to improve yourself. Nothing wrong with a mistake or two, so long as you work on them." she says, trying to comfort Lysander, who did manage to hold his own a fair bit before the tumble.


"It must feel bad for something like that to happen in front of the others, but nobody should hold you trying to improve against you. And if they do, then I'll have a little chat with them. So long as you still want to improve, you can, and I'll do my best to help. Alright?

[I_Like_Pi]

They were being watched? Ashlyn sat up and looked around only to have her fears confirmed. A slight blush appeared on her face as she realized they had seen her linger on Lysander. However, Lysander's opinion of himself snapped her out of her monetary embarrassment.

"No one starts out as a master, Lys. No matter what they do they always start out as a novice."

She looked at the ground.

"I probably shouldn't have been you first opponent anyway. Or I should've held back, or something. It wasn't really fair to you for me to go all out when you're just starting."

[Swordstar]

"No... I shouldn't need protecting. And Ash, it's fine. I'd rather you went hard on me so that I knew what to expect. If you're easy on me, what will that do to me when I'm facing a real opponent?"

[I_Like_Pi]

"There is a limit to what you can learn from being overpowered by brute strength. That's not the only thing though, Lys. You froze for a second, don't think I didn't realize."

"If... If you're scared to fight me, I understand.

[Swordstar]

"What? No, it's not you. It's just... I spent a large amount of time around people using axes... I can't... I don't react well around pirates. For a second... Your axe... Everything just sort of hit me at once. I'm sorry..."

[Solymr]

After the two were done horsing around, Ethan rounded up the crew and together with the mercenaries and the traveling knight and her retainer made their way back to the port city of Di. It was time to buy supplies, prepare the ship for a long travel.

And of course, to find out their destination.

[Sirus]

: I wonder if I should tell the Matron Mother about my new assignment...

: ...No. She would probably try to forbid me from leaving. I'll just let the Abbess explain things, assuming the Matron Mother even realizes I'm over-due.

: "If someone would be so kind as to escort me to your ship, I'd like to get my things stowed."

[Swordstar]

"Sure, I can show you the way. So... how long have you been a nun?"

Lys started to lead Amberly towards the ship as he questioned her.
