With that said, he turned to Lysander
"Which I suppose I have you to thank for. That reminds, I don't think we've properly met yet, have we?"

"Alain, right? It's not problem. If I didn't heal people, I wouldn't be doing my job in this crew. So while the gratitude is appreciated, there is no need to waste words on it. Especially not with the enemy still around. Maybe thank me by keeping them away."

Enemy Phase

The huntress decides the sword coming dangerously to her head is enough warning and starts fleeing, not before stepping on Gawen. After a short while of fleeing though, a sudden sandstorm surrounds her and makes her disappear.

And when the sandstorm dissipates, an unseen before path leading to a temple was now visible to the party. The House of Scholars has made its appearance.

[Zetaark]

"Well that works I suppose," Angelica mutters before picking up Gawen from the desert sand and healing her. "Feeling better?"

[Sirus]

Amberly raised her arms to the sky.

: "Success! The bandits have been driven away, and the House of Scholars is secure! Well done, everyone."

[Chevaleresse]

"Much better, thank you. Seems I've been slacking off; I'll have to redouble my training efforts. Or pick twice as many fights." She grinned at Angelica with this last, before assuming a somewhat more serious expression and turning to Ethan's party.

"That was excellent fighting," she said, with just the barest hint of a glance at the one who'd spent the entire combat digging in the sand. "I take it your group was passing toward the House of Scholars as well."

[Zetaark]

Goodness, you'll always find some way to get into a fight won't you? Well, so long as you don't go too in over your head, I'll be here to treat your wounds," she responds in almost a motherly tone before turning to the light mage.


"Yes, I'd say things were a success thanks to everyone's efforts"

Battle over, Claude strode towards Lavinia.

"So what did you find? I can't count this as a victory when you spent so much time digging for treasure, so what is it?"

[Gaterhyme]

"Are we just going to keep giving the other person mercy? Let's just call the whole thing even so far and say whoever wins the next round's leading."

"And I found this." Lavinia offered the cloth up for brief inspection, seeming half pleased and half annoyed. The bandits had never proved a challenge anyway - just look at how they'd dealt with the first group of them - but she'd have liked to have gotten in on the fighting that'd just ended. (The icon she'd already tucked away for the moment. She supposed she could ask Amberly or Lysander about it and get a fair bit of entertainment along with information. Or just slip it to Claude or Ethan later for just the former.)

"Either magic or recent, since it's still in good shape. Even if it isn't something we can activate in a magic sort of way" - she left figuring out that sort of stuff up to others even if they'd come across their share of weird loot in their time - "it seems strong and light enough to use as some sort of padding."

[Chevaleresse]

"It's not as if I'm actively seeking them out. I simply have the means and will to fight battles instead of running from them."

[Zetaark]

"Whatever you say Gawen," she giggles. "Regardless of how you get into them, you still have a habit of finding your way into them. Though I guess that keeps me employed, but still make sure you don't get in over your head. Alright?"

[Haspen]

Seeing no more hostiles, Ethan hefted his axe and looked at the temple.

"Time to get some answers about the jewel. Let's go, guys." He looked atGawen and Angelica.

"You two can come with us if you want. Know my good will."

[Caellath]

"Good find. And hey Lavinia, it's not like I don't want to emerge victorious either, but we keep going through trouble that makes it harder to declare a proper victor."
