"...I was more thinking around the lines of cutting my palm and smearing the blood onto someone. Or the crown. Maybe it could self-activate through bloodstain, you know?"

"I have my doubts, but I suppose there's little harm in trying."

[Zetaark]

"Well, if you're willing, we could test it out perhaps. If it only requires the blood, then someone with a bit of your blood and the crown should be able to use it. And if any injuries occur in the process, I can probably handle it" Angelica decides to ask, perhaps with a hint of wanting to fly herself.

[Haspen]

Ethan nods to Angelica.

"Lysander can cut my palm with a knife, then. No need for me to bleed out just for science." He pauses, then turns to Gawen.

"Do you want some separate droplets onto your armor, Gawen, just in case?"

[Swordstar]

Lysander considered refusing before sighing and pulling out his knife.

"I'm not going to cut your palm. Do you know how painful that is? No, if you just need a few drops then pricking your thumb should do the trick. Here."

He held the dagger out for Ethan to prick his thumb, grumbling slightly at the ridiculousness of it all.

[Haspen]

"In comparison to all the cuts and bruises and wounds I've gotten in past few months, I would wager a knife cut is on the lower scale of things, but, sure."

Poke.

Ouch.

And then Ethan unceremoniously smudges his blood on the crown.

[Zetaark]

"Well I suppose that's good enough. Now to see whether it will work like that if separated from you. May I?" Angelica asks, attempting to be the first to test the theoretical effectiveness of this flight inducing bloodcrown.

[Haspen]

Ethan crowns Angelica with a smirk.

"I crown thee Angelica the First, Queen of the Sky."

[Zetaark]

"Wouldn't that be something? Though I suppose that would depend on how easy to use this thing is," Angelica remarks, moving about as far away from Ethan as Gawen did when she started to fall.


"About this far I suppose? Well, time to see how this crown works," Angelica announces while she attempts to will herself to fly...or at least maybe float.

[Solymr]

Angelica began to levitate, but the same fate as Gawen befell her on her behind. Carmen approached the science team.

: You seem to be having fun, but if all it required was blood, don't you think that fake Narius' plan would've been a lot simpler?

[Haspen]

"Seems it does require my presence to function. And here I was thinking it would be a great tool. Alas."

[Zetaark]

"Perhaps in theory, but you never know. They may have never even considered the possibility, or like you thought that such a method would be to simple to actually work. Though in this case we know for sure that it doesn't work, but even that could work out in our favor," Angelica notes, before moving closer to Ethan.


"Now that being said, lets see how well it works if we only stay nearby you without moving," Angelica mutters, seeing whether proximity can improve the flight ability of the crown to other people.

[Solymr]

Angelica began to levitate again, but fell when Ethan lost his concentration.

: Why don't you just carry him with you? Carmen pointed out the obvious solution.

[Zetaark]

"That could work. But its good to know what can and can't be done with the crown don't you think?" Angelica states as she gets up and attempts to pick up Ethan for the third flight adventure.

[Solymr]

Angelica tried to lift the big lug by herself, struggling as Carmen looked on in a mixture of amusement and disappointment. Once she decided to load him onto her horse as she'd done before with more wounded crewmates, it started to get nervous as the three of them began floating into the air.
