Seeing the wizard meet his own end not long after he'd burnt the witch to a crisp, Alain wasted no time stepping over the still smoking remains and past the remaining guardsmen as he walked towards Lavinia and the Armored stranger.

"Nice work killing the wizard" He said, glancing at the man's body "That was a very peculiar spell he was using though... I don't suppose you managed to confiscate his tome and notes, did you? Could come in pretty handy for dealing with the rest of these lot..."

Of course, he honestly didn't want to thing because he felt it would make felling the bandits easier, the book would just be something new to study, help build up his own knowledge using the dead man's notes... and it wasn't like any of the rest of them could use it anyway.

As far as she was concerned, he could have it and be done with it, unless one of the crew insisted on Lysander inspecting it later like the orb. Magic wasn't her thing, but having seen it employed at close range against charging horsemen - she could respect that.
