Freyja turns on her heel, a large frown adorning her visage. She seems annoyed.
"Kneel. If you want a change right now, kneel before me."
She draws her sword.

[SOLDIER First]

"Why."

[Projeck37]

"Pledge your loyalty to me, and I shall pledge to forever protect you, innocent or guilty."
Freyja gestures to the ground with the tip of her blade, her words moving quicker in her faint annoyance.
"Or, I can leave you to your own, and you can hope for this best."

[SOLDIER First]

"We are both part of an organization, Frostwind. Is that not enough? Do you not protect your own by default?"

[Projeck37]

"This goes much farther by law. I wish to name you a member of my honor guard. It allows me to name a champion of my choosing in any trial by combat, and allows me to oversee any justice affairs that involve you... To put it a bit more simple, I can make sure you're not dealt any unjust cards."

[SOLDIER First]

Geraint looks down at Freyja with an expression of mingled anger and disgust, but suddenly it softens. With a short glance at Elaine, the man bends his knee and bows to Freyja, wordlessly. He is still probably as tall as her, though.

[Projeck37]

Freyja's visage relaxes, and she smiles. She moves the flat of her blade to either of Geraint's shoulders.
"Geraint Einion, I name you to the honor guard of House Frostwind. To uphold my justice, and law, as I will for you... You may rise, Geraint."
She retracts her blade, and sheathes it.

[SOLDIER First]

He stands once more, anger no longer showing on his face. It's strange .

".....Thank you, Freyja."

[Projeck37]

"I would do more if I had the power to... but this is the best I can do for you."
Freyja smiles.
"We look out for our own."

[SOLDIER First]

Geraint gives a curt nod and busies himself with staring at the nearby wall.

[Projeck37]

"Now then... I must attend to important business regarding justice. Care to join me?"
Freyja turns heel again, and heads to the royal recordkeeper offices.

[SOLDIER First]

"...Mhmm."

He gestures to Elaine, and then follows Freyja.

Elaine doesn't look up. You'd think she'd at least trust them to know what her face looks like by now.
"....are you alright?"

[SOLDIER First]

"...why do you ask?"

[Projeck37]

Sieg steps forward, whispering into the Emperor's ear. The Emperor stands.
"Excuse me, we'll have to continue this tomorrow. I must address something."
The Emperor steps out of the Great Hall, Sieg following suit.
