"I suppose so... but the witch is gone, the beasts are dead... oh shoot, I nearly forgot about the dragon... but then, it disappeared down an alley. It's too bad, I would have loved to talk to it,
I had an offer for them."

Agilulf is almost overly casual in tone, but doesn't seem the type to be about to murder someone for being odd in some way. Even if that way is by turning into a dragon.

"....ah. I see. Well....I wish you all the luck with finding your....dragon then, sir."
If Elaine is surprised by whatever Agiluf has to say, she doesn't betray it.

A man rather loosely stops moving behind Agilulf, his hand on his sword, "If you two are not conspirators, please return to the plaza. You have questions to answer. Run, and You answer with blood." the man, though he looks rather unimposing, wears the sigil of the Lord Knights as his cloak clasp.

Near Lillian a man, with charming features and no weapon on him is helping a few knights get back on their feet, when he finishes, he approaches Lillian, a gentle smile on his face, "Pardon me, miss, but can I ask you about the dragon that was here? It's not everyday that we see a wingless one inside of the city, and certainly not alive. Despite the atrocities that have happened, I would be ever so ecstatic to meet such a grand beast." the way he talks, and the way he holds himself, is in of its self, quite charming. It doesn't take Lillian quite that long to realize that this was one of the seven individuals behind the emperor before the attack.

Up on stage, the emperor's wounds have finally started to heal, the magic having a surprisingly delayed reaction, "My liege, you should have at least told me you were wearing you aegis. It was no wonder my healing was not working." Sitting beside the emperor is a small talisman, glowing with arcane energies.

Agilulf nods and puts an arm around Elaine's shoulder, with a pleasant nod to the "knight". Once he's sure they're out of earshot he leans down to whisper in her ear.
"I may be over sharing, but I'm looking to start an adventuring guild here. You know, help the common folk by taking down those that prey on them and all that. And I was thinking that a dragon would be more than worth the trouble of protecting if they were willing to join. I mean, I'm sure you saw how it took down one of the beasts. Would be really useful... But I suppose if you don't know anything about it then I won't bother you more."

Elaine sighs under her breath. She knew this would happen if she stayed to help.

She knew she should've run the moment something happened. It was, however, hard to say she regretted it. After resting on the wall for another moment, she stands back up straight, keeping her face hidden underneath her hood and turns around, most of her dress and face hidden by her rough, dark cloak. She walks towards the plaza.
".....as you wish, my lord."

She ignores Agiluf's comments for the moment. After all, nobody knew to suspect her as a monster, not yet. She could at least chance leaving once all was said and done; exposing herself, to a stranger, was a bad idea.

Freyja sheathes her sword, quickly pulling her hood back atop her head before anyone took notice of her. During such, she spots Tabitha, and narrows her eyes. Was that...? No, I couldn't be. She shook her head with doubt, and followed after Agilulf.

Pitua stood up from cuddling her slime close, which she had been doing since the combat ended. She surveys the scene around her, beginning to drip with worry. Death and destruction were not her thing. She recollects herself, and looks for someone who could be trustworthy enough to understand her predicament. She was now in the middle of one of the biggest crime scenes she had ever heard of, and she was quite lost on what to do.

Geraint stands with Frejya and Agilulf, still coughing slightly.

Lillian blinked - she'd been staring into the alley as Elaine had left. A probably-dragon is pretty distracting after all. So she was a bit startled by the man as he spoke up. "O-Oh, hello." she said as she turned to the man. "The d-dragon? I don't know... her? I think it's a her, ta voice sounded like a woman..." Annnnd there's the accent she'd been sort of worried about... "S-She helped. With ta monsters, I-I mean. I'm not sure what else ye could ask, I don't know much else, but I'll try ta help..."

Of course, Twin is neither man nor woman but an unholy eldritch abomination like every other Bay12er. The difference is they hide it better.

"Brave move, you did there."
Freyja addresses the coughing Geraint.

Agilulf disengages from Elaine. He gives Lillian a quick look over before turning to his companions.
"Takes a lot of bravey to send yourself flying like that twice, yeah."

"Well, the brave thing isn't always the smart thing."
Freyja chuckles.
"Anyways... I'd prefer not to stick around here for much longer. Lots of familiar faces."

Elaine, for her part, tries to avoid conversation for the moment, simply waiting patiently for the questioning to start while trying to get her story straight. Freyja, however, catches her eye.

Just briefly.

She continues trying to get her story straight then.

"You kill a weed at the roots, Frostwind. Remember that." Another cough.

"I saw what you did to one of those knights, though. Impressive. Good work."

"Well, assuming the spook wasn't operating on his own we're gonna be shaken down."
Agilulf looks unimpressed.
