Freyja shrugs.

Agilulf wags his finger disapprovingly.

Elaine pauses briefly.

"It would....draw suspicion towards you if I were to....join your group."

Wait, I'm sorry... suspicion of what?"

"The authorities already....suspect me for some odd reason. I am not sure....it would be wise for me to draw the attention of the authorities upon you as a result of me joining you."

[SOLDIER First]

"I don't care for the authorities anyway. Let them come. See if I've done anything they can actually arrest me for, or if they'll resort to lies instead."

".....that is...precisely what I'd like to avoid...."

"...You're human. What do you have to worry about?"

It is worth noting that Geraint hasn't actually gotten a good look at Elaine's face, or indeed much underneath her hood. As for her response, she remains silent. Whatever it is she has to worry about, it's clear she'd rather keep that close to the chest.
