Elaine seems somewhat distracted and doesn't look at Geraint, keeping her head down and face concealed. Her grip on her cloak tightens almost imperceptibly.
".....do not worry about me, sir. I am.....just a little shaken about today, is all."

[SOLDIER First]

Geraint returns his own cloak to its rightful place (his body) as they walk, but opts to leave the hood down this time.

"So shaken you can't do more than stare at the ground."

He chuckles, and continues. "I understand, of course. No need to change things up on my account."

"... Geraint, that is a normal thing to do when you're shaken. Not everyone charges in at the first sign of danger like you."
Agilulf gives the large man a look.

"....today has been....rather exhausting, I must confess."
Elaine doesn't change in her quiet, somber tone as she walks.

[SOLDIER First]

"I said I understood, you realize. Because I do."

_{"...somewhat."}

"Of course. It's good you aren't any worse off. I'd love to get my hands on that damn witch..." Geraint clenches his fist with a bit of a clanking noise.

Elaine merely makes a small affirmative noise in response to Geraint. She shies away from him a little.

[SOLDIER First]

"...Although... It's strange... I wonder why she didn't use that... beast-transformation magic on the emperor himself, if she wanted him dead so badly."

[IamanElfCollaborator]

"The emperor....he had some sort of defensive magic upon himself. I-I noticed.....they were talking about some...aegis when they were trying to heal him."

[SOLDIER First]

"Oh. That'd do it, I suppose."

Freyja gets a pep in her step, stopping in front of the group, turning on her heel and placing her fists on her hips.
"How about we get drinks then? To ease our minds. Surely we can all use it!"

[IamanElfCollaborator]

"....I hope they catch her. The witch."
Then Freyja.
"I.....I do not drink."

[Twinwolf]

"Ah, that's much better. Thank you. . . um, I never caught your name."

"'cause I d-didn't tell ya... my name's Lillian. Uh... we can talk later if ya want, one of the emperor's friends was talkin' to me. I just saw ya needed help..."

[SOLDIER First]

Geraint grunts.

"Are you paying?"

Agilulf smiles and jingles his purse.
"I'll pay."

"Don't I always?"
Freyja turns to Elaine.
"Oh, come! You can drink water."
Then Agilulf.
"No, no. My treat!"
