Sir, the Seelie are the ones that are (relatively) good. That's...literally the definition. I promise you, had they been Unseelie, you would have had a real problem.

I'm starting to think that the Seelie being good is at least partly the problem, here...

At a guess, the necromancers realized that you had gotten in and laid some sort of magical trap.

At least it didn't involve fireballs or anything else fatal!

It probably normally would be fatal, from starvation, but I've got him now.

Well, I meant immediately fatal. As a wizard, I could come up with any number of powerful spells to use as traps, and I assume necromancers have access to some even nastier ones.

True enough, though sometimes they just like being sadistic. You know how it is with evil people, they never just kill the adventurers, no; they just have to strap them to some huge and improbably complicated contraption designed to kill them, but it's always possible to escape the things.

It's why I thank the gods daily that I was born with innate climbing abilities! Back in my more adventurous days, there were any number of traps that would have had me for the rest of my short, painful life if I couldn't get to safety.
