You have chosen B, which is to attempt to remove the information through use of Quill’s memory serums.

As it turns out, I lied about the d6 being rolled for Armen’s reaction. After thinking it over I realized I already had a specific reaction planned out for her.

Roll 2d6+2 (scientific) where,

2 to 4 = There is no way to get it removed AND it fails silently; if Tommy and Armen so choose, they can pretend that the data was successfully removed. If this is the case, a fake roll will be presented (9 or above)
5 = There’s no way to get it off. You’ll have to decide what to do now.
6 to 8 = It fails silently, but only on the first time. Trying again may solve it. If Tommy and Armen so choose, they can pretend the data was removed and then they still have it, with a fake roll (9 or above) presented. Otherwise, reroll.
9 to 11 = It is removed without consequences
12+ = Knowledge gathered from this instance makes us understand the memory-altering serums more. +1 to future uses of the serum.

Result: 2 + 6 + 2 = 10 → Bingo! (or is it?)

“Well, that worked,” says Celling. Quill’s research into memory alteration was fairly well documented and the scientists at Andes Command were able to eliminate the critical information from Tommy’s mind quickly enough. “You don’t remember a thing, right?”

“No,” Tommy says. He seems much brighter now, sporting a grin that looks out of place on his modified body. “Just going to sleep then, and waking up now. There’s nothing in between.”

Roboson steps next to Celling. “We’re just going on his word, right? You should probably confirm all this. He may just be pretending to forget it. He may have legitimately forgotten it now, but may regain them later on and then our secrets are out. I’m sure we can reactivate the mental link and scan for any remnant memories.”

“We have no idea how the neural shackle will interact with the memory serums,” Celling answers. “It could cause permanent damage, or return a false negative. And Quill’s not here to oversee it. Neither is the guy that invented the Cherubs, T. Levin. They’re the only ones that really understand how it works, and I think they should be here if we’re going to try to use it in this way.”

What do you choose to do?

A: Release Tommy right now.
B: Attempt to use the Cherub implants/programming to check if he really remembers anything.
C: Detain him for longer to wait for Erin Quill and/or T. Levin to arrive.

Roll 2d6-1 (Political) where:

2- = They just straight-up lynch T. Levin. Choice can be made to react to this
3 to 6 = Courts decide not to let him go. You may choose to sneak him out, which may cause political minus
7 to 9 = There is substantial public resistance to letting him leave, and the idea is traced back to Quill. Let him leave and take a -1, or allow him to be sentenced.
10 = He’s allowed to go, but you aren’t allowed to let him bring a ship of convicts.
11+ = Plan goes as planned.

Results: 2 + 6 - 1 = 7 → Choice.

“Well, the idea’s been pitched, and nobody’s raised legal objections to his request to be exiled to the North,” Enir Nest explains. “But lots of people feel like he’s getting off too easy. Even worse, a few have traced support for the idea back to you and combined with current doubts about your role in Padelheb’s death… this could be quite bad.”

Quill looks back at Nest. “What will he be sentenced with if we don’t intervene?” he asks.

“I’m not sure. Probably some crime against morality or another. Life imprisonment is around what he’s going to get.”

What do you say to do?

A: “Drop the whole idea, then. Let him be sentenced normally.”
B: “Push it through. If it’s legal, let’s get him out of here.” (-1 political)
C: “Who says the people have to know about this? Arrange for him to disappear from jail.”
D: “Let him be sent to jail, then stage a breakout and allow him to escape.”

Ummm... really you do in fact deserve to die or be imprisoned for life for crimes against humanity. Also, nobody says we actually want your opinion since you're most certainly persona non grata in...literally the entire country.

Also, we, the players, CANNOT AFFORD more political problems, we need to be the good and benevolent kingdom and not the evil empire.
