The Cherubs open fire on Jacob. He leaps out of the way as the bullets miss, pulled down by the changing gravity. The dogs leap at Jacob as well. Only one actually hits as the other three miss him and roll on the sand. The one that hits tries to
“FIRE MASERS!” Fansworth commands.
“NO!” Celling shouts. “You can’t deactivate the Andantesite now, it’ll drown them!
Fansworth looks at you skeptically. “What?”
“The Andantesite is the only thing keeping the water up! You have to hold fire!”
“And I’m supposed to accept that from someone that probably wants to join the rebels?” asks Fansworth.
Celling sighs. “Look,” he says. “I hate the rebels as much as you do. But I’m not going to sacrifice everyone down there to drown them when they likely have a way out anyway!”
Fansworth looks questioningly at him. “Fine then. HOLD FIRE!”
Jacob Eldin struggles out of the dog’s grip and runs for the shore side of the dock, blood trickling from his leg. Anna Drimoxi fumbles with the Andantesite controller.
