The Search Part 2

Having isolated the rebels down to being on the beach, we now have located six suspicious locations, along with maddeningly vague intel on why they are suspicious:

A: There are two trees where there once were three
B: A cave in a rock is wet
C: A sailboat sails into the wind every day
D: A sign that used to point one way points the other way now
E: There are always more footprints at the beginning of a day than the end
F: Most dunes change but this one stays

I can guarantee that the correct answer has a perfectly good reason for the suspicious activity designated… and the rest also have perfectly good reasons with no rebel involvement, so it doesn’t really help.

The rules

Each day, you have six “hours” at your disposal, which you may spend in any distribution over the six locations.

If the rebels are in a location, then the number of hours you spend is the chance, out of six, that you find them. There are no false positives in this process. You could, for example, spend a day to make sure you get a straight answer on a single location, or to make a cursory sweep of all six locations.

You can also allow the Dogs to work alone on a particular location. You then have a ⅚ chance of detection if they are at that location, but you must enter combat with only the dogs if they are found.
