[SOLVED] How to make sapients edible using gm-editor?

So, I modded GCS to be playable, I was chomping on some dorfs, only to find out that even with gm-editor, the dead_dwarf variable isn't there. Should I use another script?

You'll want the dfhack thread in the mods forum.

As this is a commoin question that i was digging recently i have reported here in the wiki. So plz read the wiki :

That should come under bugs. Toady already confirmed that its not intended behavior for ethics to be ignored.

Hum, may be, the part have already been reworked since then, and not by me. Feel free to move it after the bug section.
But note that in the wiki it's more current to have only the declaration of a short list of bug in the bug section and that the behaviour that are common (bug or not) are treated in the text when it take place to explain.

In this case Toady have may be explain that but it has been a while since this bug exist and no correction nor status change are made on that bug since then, so you can label it as "behaviour" for 10 years ^^
If it was easy to understand for him or a simple glitch it should have been corrected since years i guess and as it's not in any note of him since ... i imagine he doesn't care ^^.

It hasn't been this way for 10 years, this is a recent issue and he said he doesn't know what went wrong. No idea why you'd imagine that to mean he doesn't care.

what do you mean by "recent" ?
this bug is reported since 2015 ...

And as he didn't speak about since its first talk about it, which is quitly complete in this phrase "i don't know" i guess that it is like a LOT of other bug : it is absolutly not his priority right know. And through the dev log we can check easily that this is not for the next version. So well, this bug will not be solved, at least, until august next years...

Well, so it's fairly certains this is a on a good run to be at least a 3 years bug, and as it is not his priority, who know when this will be ...

So year, 10 year is not a simple exageration to illustrate my talk, it could be a good estimation too, or at least a not so bad exageration. It's not a problem i mean, he work as he wants to work. But as it is and it could be a common behaviour for a very long time it should be treated as a common behaviour... imho.

this bug is reported since 2015 ...
2015 is "recent" for DF. That's when we got taverns.

I mean, it's been over a year since the last update, equipment damage. 2015 is only a another year behind that.
