HighEndNoob (Gaius/Gai) (IVDf VIPw IIIPc IIIWt)So, an exam tommorow. I suppose I could try to push in some studying tonight, but I should really be getting some sleep for tomorrow.
Head back to the home and get some sleep for tomorrow.
You woke up to your brother Riko bumping you on the head with something.
"Hey," he said. "You forgot to set this."
He set the alarm clock back on the nightstand.
..
You survived the first three classes. You were outrun by most of the other students during track, which does put your legacy to shame somewhat, but it's not something that can't be fixed through hard work and discipline.
History is directly after lunch. The time of reckoning is yet to be.
As the bell rings for lunch, you find yourself distracted, looking for Chen and the others, when suddenly you slam into a
blue-haired girl trying to get through the door. Your heads clack together and both of you bounce to the floor.
Ozarck (Di/Makiko) (4Df 3Pw 7Pc 2Wt)"Oh, um... yeah, I guess you are right."
Makiko will try to keep her knife out of sight. Maybe clean off the blood, if any is left after stabbing it into a spirit plant demon and setting it on fire.
You split from Nagisa once you got to your neighborhood, and found some keys in your pocket. Nobody was awake at this hour, so you made sure to tread quietly in the dark hallway. It's not quite as dark as the nights in the afterlife, and as soon as you hop into bed you fall fast asleep despite today's happenings.
...
...
You woke up to the clanging of bells coming from a device next to your bed. In the dining room, you found your dad talking on the phone. He nods to your arrival, but somehow you are left disappointed with how little he talks to you. Then again, from his perspective, nothing unusual happened. He seems to be talking about financial matters, though you can't quite make any sense of the concepts involved.
School did not go badly. Your body retained enough habitual knowledge for you to at least write down some equations without thinking about it too much, but trying to make sense of what you just wrote is going to take some background.
During the day so far you had Writing, English, physical education, and Math. At the end of Math you head out to lunch with Nagisa, who happens to sit two seats away from you in class.
As you approach the wide open room with skylights and dining tables so long they may as well be made from single trees, the lights flicker and die out.
Nagisa is the first to realize that there's a giant skeletal creature of some sort ripping into a hatch in the wall using its teeth. It pulls out its head and looks at the two of you, but rather than acting aggressively, it merely tilts its head, staring intently with its eyes of black crystal.

Sir Elventide (Giovanna/Nagisa) (3Df 3Pw 4Pc 6Wt)"It seems that we are essentially next door to each other, Makiko," Nagisa said as she nursed her injuries. Though minor as far as she could tell, they since hurt like hell. "This means that I can go home after I walk you to your house. If anyone asks, just tell them that we were spending time... ah, tutoring one of our friends on the other side of town."
Staring ahead for a moment, Nagisa continued, "I know that I am pretty much going into the lion's den, especially if you're right about my... mother. However, I must find out more about... myself and why she would end it all, plus why those men wanted her gone."
Nagisa then turned to give Makiko a weary smile. "Besides, my uniform and school supplies are at home so either way I'm doomed. *Sigh* Mama del Cristo, I hope she isn't too much of a volpe, a bitch, to be reasonable."
Escort Makiko to her house before going home to face the music.
The two of you get off at the bus stop and you head to your neighborhood, at which point you part ways.
You unlock the door to your house, half-expecting to run into someone, but it's dark and empty at first glance. As you enter the living room, a sudden flash of light startles you, but in the end all it seems is that someone turned on the lights.
Who? You're not sure you heard any footsteps. No-one seems to be in the house, and all of the doors and windows are locked.
You leave your shoes at the door and fall asleep almost as soon as you jump in bed. Your soul was just that weary after hundreds of years.

...
Your mother was peaceful, and unexpectedly so. Expecting a fierce reprimand when you woke up, you instead found her reading a book at the quaint round dinner table between the kitchen and the living room, along with a light breakfast waiting for you and freshly-packed lunch set next to your backpack.
"Make sure to study hard," were her words to you. Not quite what you expected.
Your first day of school went well for the most part. Geometry and writing were intuitive enough, and you seemed to know more English than the rest of the class combined just perchance. The most demanding part was the fact that the other girls kept asking you for help. Did the old Nagisa have a reputation for being knowledgeable?
As the bell rang, you met Makiko on the way to the cafeteria. As you approached the large dining hall, however, you notice the lights flickering, and more importantly there is some kind of maintenance locker on the wall that's currently open. Sticking its long neck into the locker is the gigantic skeleton of a lizard-like creature with folded wings.
It pulls its head out of the box, and dredges along several sparking and smoldering wires caught in its teeth.
Spirit Shards:
Mask of Despair -- It pulses with an overwhelming sense of dread. You have the feeling something will happen if you wear it.
Wunderkatze (Ryzard/Mitsuru) (0Df 7Pw 4Pc 5Wt)"Sure. As long as you still live here I'll know how to find you." Mitsuru leaves. She'll knock on the door to her house this time.
You knock on the door. There's music behind it.
"Oh?" says the woman opening the door, letting you in. "You're back early."
It's not quite the home you expected, given your starting location. A full set of appliances, three bedrooms, separate dining and living room, all the amenities you'd expect from a high-end place. All that stood in stark contrast with the junk food everywhere, cans of beer lying around, and a constant fragrance borne of indoor cigar use.
All in all, a clash of worlds. You went to sleep that night to the muffled sound of party music.
...
...
Your head hurt in the morning. It felt like any old hangover, but it's a feeling that this body seemed used to.
The day started off with Writing (wherein you rediscovered your body's natural affinity for the Japanese language) followed by English (which you excelled at) and then physical education (sadly it seems this body is lacking in strength, though you seemed to have a natural talent for basketball).
Following that was Math, which was more of a challenge than the other two, given that a couple of the examples used were in their infancy when you were alive.
At the end of class, you spot Lannfrank leaving the room. Running after him, you crash into a clueless bonehead who was somehow looking toward the rest of the classroom and yet somehow didn't see you coming, and being of similar height the two of you naturally bump heads and fall to the floor thoroughly dazed.

"So lets get this out of the way as its late, When and where are you from?
I'll go first. I am from the Holy Roman Empire 1272 I was a knight in his majesties army then died and ended up here."
"Also I'm going to need that weapon back" he says sitting up and holding out his hand. It had vanished from the floor while she was moving around near it and Lanfrank hoped she was the one who grabbed it.
You head to your bedroom and fall fast asleep, feeling the most exhausted you've been in centuries. Hundreds of years of training will do that to you.
...
...
You woke up to the sound of a dial ringing by the side of your bed. However strange a contraption it may have been, it can be silenced effortlessly with a swing of the palm. Gathering your bags, you're not sure you'd want to bring the bolt-thrower to school with you, as something seems off to you about doing so.
The school system is structured in time blocks where students train various subjects in their homeroom with three-dozen or so other students, except for physical education which happens outside. Although your physical prowess left much to be desired, you've remained as deft as ever, surprising many of your peers who called you out by name.
As for the other subjects... needless to say, it will take some time to adjust to the new setting, as the school places no emphasis on practical matters such as war and leadership. At the end of your third lecture, having been left puzzled and stumped, the math teacher looked your way as if to ask you a question... but the lunch bell rang at that moment and you found yourself free at last.
As you exit the hallway, you spot a girl sitting against the lockers looking dejected, and being walked-past by all the other students. She's not in uniform like the others, but rather barefoot and wearing a mud-covered purple gown.
Then you hear a crash and look back to find Mitsuru having fallen over, having bumped into a bulky-looking stranger.
