Year 5000, Spring



~Events~

New Spring of Magic: A new Mana Node bursts open in North Segi! Magic can be felt in the air of the province. Along with nodes in West Mefd, Lower Ostem, Upper Terruta and South Estaf, there are now 5 Nodes active.

Greedy Bastard: Henry the Bastard, a Greedy General, arrives in South Daos. He is offering his services to Warlock Heuros the Stoic for a low price of 5 Mana per season.

Independent Hordes: Many an indepedent province raise Armies to defend their peoples from the inevitable War of Warlocks. Some decide against doing that, earning the pity of their more rational neighbours.

South Terruta Quake: Ground shakes and shudders in South Terruta, but no important buildings are there to be destroyed.

SO! Haspen mentions everyone's turns should be in spoilers, and follows a rule akin to Kashyyk's: Nobody can stop anyone else from checking others' spoilers, but it would be preferred not to.

Besides, to infer realistic skill leveling, it helps your inferential skills and strategic planning if everything is unknown :3
Also Haspen says (via discord/IRC intercomms) that there is no trade, but it is up to us players to interact with each other.
I'm obviously not using anyone's details in their turns unless they want to. :P

Also to not disadvantage others (since unhappy players are :( than disadvantaged-due-to-misunderstanding-but-understanding players), Haspen uses two IMPORTANT terms. Unit, and Army. All of our Low magic *units* can only be summoned at the Tower. Armies however can be spawned at tower/keeps, and whose only limitation/upkeep/payment is max army. Max Army. only pertains to army (calculated as # of lands = max army limit. The Towerland provides for an extra, so +2. Meaning at the start, we all have a max. army of 2). Units require mana upkeep, and this is always calculated later on at the start of the turn, but after all generation of mana. Mana calculation is fluid and only the final number counts, as for example if you generate 15 mana and have 20 upkeep, your Mana will lose 5 points next Turn, into 10 mana. (If there are any generators, they go before the final calculations too)
And no, armies/units can't move on the same turn they spawn.
Independent armies only stay in their independent territories.

NEXT TURN is UNKNOWN turn (at 5% on 1d100), and they make a beeline towards towers/mana nodes, so even if you've anything literally next to them, they'll ignore everything and instead just prefer a "nearest first" AI policy.

I would ask why fire can burn two men to death without getting hot enough to burn a book, but then I read "INEXTINGUISHABLE RUNNING KAMIKAZE RADIOACTIVE FLAMING ZOMBIE" and realized that logic, reason, and physics are all occupied with crying in the corner right now.
