You can crit on your attack roll.
You can crit on your dodge roll too.
That is all I meant.

Not really, but the amount added is double the die amount. So if you crit on a 20, you will get much more out of it than if you crit on a 9.

No. Your attacking roll is your damage roll (without any of the damage bonuses, but with the skill bonus). The attack roll is an opposed test against the target's dodge roll.

---It is an opposed roll, meaning your chance to hit an attack with all things being equal is attack is 50%. Both sides roll D20 and add their relevant stats, if the defender rolls higher than it is a miss. If the attacker rolls higher, than this roll is added to whatever damage bonuses he has.

That is exactly the same thing I just said.

Example:
Gunner-Chan and Target-kun are fighting. Both have E luck, Gunner-Chan has A agility and is attacking with an A rank phantasm with no special bonuses. Target-kun has C rank agility
Gunner-Chan attacks Target-kun. Gunner-chan rolls d20+10 for her attack roll. Target-kun rolls d20+5 for his dodge roll.

Gunner-Chan rolls a 6, for a final result of 6+10 or 16.
Target-kun rolls an 5, for a final result of 5+5 or 10.

Since 16>10, the attack hits. Gunner-chan now adds the 18 damage to her attack roll for a total of 34.

Now Target-kun pulls out a gun and returns fire.
Target-kun rolls a 20. This is a crit, so his final result is 20+20+5 or 45.
Gunner-chan also rolls a 20. This is also a crit, so her final roll is 20+20+10 or 50.

45<50, so the attack is a miss.

So how do I acquire a partner to play my Servant's Master? I can see a couple of concerns:

1)Do we know who each other are? Nobody else will know which character is which player, but this seems impossible to avoid unless more people play only Servant or only Master so we can all be shuffled around.
2) Do we see eachother's sheets? It could make sense to, but a lot of this system is set up to prevent metagaming, so I thought I'd ask first.

1) Yes, you know who each other is at the start. In fact, you are encouraged to work together and help each other make the sheets.
2) Again yes. Having a team that works well together (character wise or stat wise) is important, and lore wise the Parameters are actually non-meta things (at least, Servant wise). In *this* Grail War, you know everything about your partner by default.
