I didn't pick mine from a favorite theme, but I can talk about potential Heroic Spirits I considered using. My first idea was The Man With No Name, but I couldn't think of good Noble Phantasms, partially due to the character's intentional mundanity giving him no named equipment or powers. If I were to do him now, I'd give him three Noble Phantasms named after the movies: A Fistful Of Dollars could be a revolver, For A Few Dollars More could gain control of a Reality Marble for a few seconds, and The Good, The Bad And The Ugly could do... something that's useful during mexican standoffs, or does something with a hidden treasure? I dunno, that one's tricky. It would be kind of funny to have an ability that replaces A Fistful Of Dollars and its revolver with a different Noble Phantasm named Yojimbo that takes the form of a katana. Maybe he'd change class to a Saber, or just is a Saber even when he uses the revolver?

For player servants, everyone has the same starting points and thus will be around the same strength level whatever the age of the myth. You can trade points between the Servant/Master if you want to make an especially strong Servant or especially weak master, but there isn't anything giving a bonus to older Servants. Character sheets are still going to be directly PMed to me. While the game changed format from being full-PM to being mostly forum, we are still keeping all the sheets secret.

And sure, its fine if you want to wait until later. The game's pace is pretty slow so you won't miss much. I just basically stalled to get through my own finals, so I am not about to prevent someone else from doing the same .

Query (or two or more of those, I guess): Can I have any stats of 0 or negative? And, on behalf of SM so his question isn't a double-post, is there a limit to the number of noble phantasms that can be had?

Hi Glass.

The stats are on a letter scale, you can't have negatives but can have zeroes. The whole system is on point buy, so there is no hard limit on the number of NP's you can have. There is a soft limit in that you will run out of points eventually-pretty quickly if you go for powerful noble phantasms.

Lowering skills is fine, you just can't lower them past zero under most circumstances.

If you want to have something worse than an E, sure we can work something out ^_^. The character creation conversation and actual sheets should probably go to PM to avoid everyone having a tactical advantage over you.
