I don't care if you play someone who witnessed the crucifixion. The penitent thief was promised paradise though. If you play him, you are denying that promise. That could be ... annoying to some.

The Bible does cover historical events so regardless of whether or not the details are correct or not, you're still talking about a historical figure.
It's true that I said "fictional characters," so even a character that's mentioned in myth but probably didn't exist (like, say, Achilles) would technically count as fictitious. But I'm going to rule that if your character sheet presumes a historical figure was a real person in-setting, then you're not "fictional" anymore. ;)

He/she could be a witness to a historical event without any problems.

Yep, your character doesn't have any problems regarding format.

I  don't know if you were simply arguing technicalities for the sake of arguing, or f you were simply curious where the boundaries are. I have a lot of friends and acquaintances in these games who like to argue, so I don't know. But after sleeping (and then working) I thought of perhaps something better to ask: what was your character concept anyway? If you don't mind sharing, of course.

Did I manage to get a fire extinguisher? I edited my original action, I know I kind of left a trail of posts, but it's in the first of the three posts I made before the previous roll, the one where I had originally  intended to steal the sword.

No, I didnt register that action. If it was the result of entering the room and seeing the sword, then you probably want to press X to skip through the dialogue.
