The advancing party formed up after refilling their pouches with magazines and begin to push onwards like a spear-tip. The corpses of all the torn and shredded spiderbeetles that you've spent the good quarter of an hour shooting earlier makes it rather difficult to wade through it, and you really don't want to be the guy who has to clean up after all this mess. There's even some that's still twitching!

Presumably everyone was nice enough to put them out of their miseries.

The trudge towards the Eggs chamber is slow thanks to the sheer amount of corpses, but are suspiciously without resistance.

It was quickly explained when you've made it to the entrance, as it seems the Entrance to the chamber that you were going to use is packed tight with dirt, resin and there's Beetles all over it like several layers of ablative armor..

.. you.. think there might be one of those bigger beetles under all that beetles? It's kind of hard to make out the shapes with all the beetles packed in like that.

"Now that's a good idea, Ricardo." Danh agrees, double-checking his grenade count.

With plans in mind, guns in hand and a lot of bullet in the magazine, the Squad opens up on the congregated Spiderbeetles like it was the Fourth of July in a particularly gun-loving country.

Tracers, shotgun shots and MAG slugs sprayed all over the blockade, tearing apart the living barricade with extreme ease. Bodyparts were flying everywhere are your target was just this one big lump of bugs, bullets breaking through and collapsing their makeshift wall with pathetic ease.

Then after the whole magazine was spent and the way is cleared, one chunk of it stands up, sticky beetle bits sliding and falling off of it, revealing a second of those giant, bus-sized deadly-looking Spiderbeetle that looks like it came straight out of a horror movie. It wasted no time before it's powerful legs launches it out of the pile of dead beetles towards the squad like a giant, screaming velociraptor if it were the size of a T-Rex and is dreamed up by H.R. Giger.

Danh takes a few moments to try to figure out how long it's gonna take the thing to get from one point to another, before setting his grenade, and giving it a hefty
 toss towards the beasts path.

Kaito would fall back, trying to get his Gauss out and stabilized quickly while his team ran interferance. He may have skidded off the thing's plating last time, but that just meant he had to aim a bit more carefully this time around.

Danh set the correct timing on his grenade then flings it in the path of the charging, bus-sized bug. The Thermal grenade explodes with High-Explosion, it's heat searing and partially melting the large bug's plate on it's underbelly, while the explosion itself did not seems to do as much damage as you had hoped, it seems to have made an exploitable weakspot on the creature that roared skreee'd with pained rage, It's legs carrying it faster towards the squad as Ricardo step up forward ready to meet it. He looks like a man standing in the middle of the road ready to stop an out-of-control bus.

Granted that said man is also wearing a power armor, but said bus is also a giant angry literally scythe-armed alien bug.
