Vigil just stand over to the edge and then drops one of the rocks he has, down there, counting the seconds and milliseconds it takes for him to hear a splash, so he could do the math to find out how far down it was. All the while, he scanned the water for any heat signatures or disturbances between the ruffling of the sudden waves.

The water seemed quite deep, as your lights did not shine to the bottom and you just see the reflective surface. Heat signature doesn't have any heat differences in the water show up, and you only detect the ruffling of water from the dropped stones and boulder.

Other than that, sensors detects fluctuations in the castle effect underwater. Similar to the Rigel Device artifact that you've retrieved and got Boiy his Psionics.

“There are some fluxations down there. Doesn’t seem to be from anything organic, or even moving, but Priscilla isn’t coming down here. There is something down there. Boiy? Care to help me get it? Danh says nothing, but glares a little bit at Vigil, before backing away from the hole, waiting at the ready.

Kaito nodded, setting up by the hole and training his rifle down at the water. "Just be careful down there. Just because our sensors don't show anything doesn't mean there's nothing to show. We've had that proven to us once already. Keep watch for any movement of the water that doesn't come from your own motions."
