The entire trip was thankfully uneventful, the Spiderbeetles must still be either disoriented or doesn't care that you're in here. You arrive at a steep ledge that leads into a bowl-like area within the hive that have a large pillar in the middle that seems to be a good place as any to plant the bombs. All around within the bowl are a disgusting sludge of half-digested rotten alien life and plants. You can make out the remains of those van-sized Dragonflies and something bigger.. but it's so badly digested that you can't even tell what it looks like.

There appears to be a good hundred of those spiderbeetles skittering on the surface of the sludge, moving chunks here and there and making the horror lasagna even. They do not appear to care about your presence on the ledge. Some are observed vomiting goo into the sludge mix, directly on chunks that are too big for them to shred into smaller pieces.

You definitely see a few skittering about on the ceiling. Popping in and out of holes.

That would be at the base of the pillar, 145m away from you, in the middle of the horror lasagna surrounded by a little over a hundred working spiderbeetles.
