Virgil's question was entirely ignored as people started to file in. Those on this side seems quite insistent that he go through now before the portal shuts off.

Those who have already step through would, again, find the portal room much like the one you saw in the last mission and the one in Mars. The initial environmental report shows gravity close to that of earth's, and atmosphere. Though the Oxygen level is very high. Lethally high for humans. The familiar pull towards the ground a welcoming reminder that you won't be floating away into the oblivion.

Christian moves forward enough for the others to fan out behind him, then drops to one knee and starts scanning the exits.

After handing vigil the gun, Ridardo steps through the portal

Everyone filed in and fanned out before the Portal closes behind you. With Night vision on, the gate room that you're in appears to have a thick collection of dust. With only one, doorless opening into a different room. The ground in that other room looks rather uneven from here, like a natural cave's.

It's probably a cave.

"A cave, and judging from the gravity and atmo we're on a planet." Kaito would look around the cave room, before looking back to the others. "Form up, and run some scans. See if we can't figure out which way would be out of the cave. Or at least mineral compositions. Might be something valuable there. Everyone else keep alert, never know what kind of beasts could be out here."

"Christian here, scouting the exit." Christian announces on the com.

Move to (but not into) the exit, and see what there is to see on the scanner.

Danh doesn't know shit about sensors, but best be on the lookout for 'beasts'.
He begins looking all over the cave, checking corners, and importantly, above. If nothing's spotted, he'll head over to the passage, and peer down it, covering the spot with Christian.
"With Christian." He says.

Vigil will start scanning the air, looking to see if he can find a direction it might be flowing from, to find a way out. He will also try to observe the dust, and see if he can find a pattern of flow as well.

Vigil scans the air. It does not seems to have any flow in this room, so no source in here at least.

Meanwhile, Christian and Danh moves over to the exit opening and scans through. [Sensor roll, 55: Decent Success!]

The scan shows that there's nothing but rocks in your immediate area, but the microphone picks up faint skitterings in the distance. It sounds like it's still in the cave itself, though. But the landing zone seems safe.

"Christian, team. Nothing spotted, but movement can be heard in the distance. Be aware, possible hostiles."

Gun ready, and keep scanning for anything approaching. If any of the others advance, go with them, else hold.

Danh likewise gets ready, briefly peering down the hall.
"Hey, and this time, let's not pull a Stella. We're in a cave, those collapse and shit. Save that gauss for an emergency." The man radios to Kaito, not in an accusatory tone, but a tired one.

So far so good, the Gate room is secured as it can be without deploying barricades, and you don't see anything in your immediate vicinity.

"Well, let's push forward. I was first last time, so I am good, this time." Vigil said as he pulled out his sword, ready for whatever might be making the skittering.
