“Alright. I am trusting you. We keep to the rations for now, but, if we find ourselves running low, we can make a small bonfire to attract them a bit away from the camp. Who is willing to do watch, tonight? Stella and I have to sleep, since we are driving.”

Stella takes stock of the MRE, which isn't worryingly low yet. With you arriving at the Gate tomorrow, this 4 days worth of engineered superfood for the squad should last. And even if one of the snowmobile crash on the way there, and you split the food half/half on each mobile and all of that half were to be destroyed in the crash, you'd still have another day and a half of food left for walking the remainder of the way home.

"I'll take a watch as well."

Frazz will spend the entire watch with one hand on the artifact suitcase.

The evening rolls on, everyone have their MRE packages in the environmentally-sealed Tents and then rested for the night. Watches are switched every few hours and nothing terrible seems to be happening,

Morning arrives and it's time to pack up and travel the last leg of the way towards the Gate and head on home.

"If there are complications, we may need to drive through the Gate. Would we be comfortable with such a course of action?"

“I am. Gates probably close. We will need to open it, remember?”

"Let's just get a move on..." Danh mumbles, as he starts to help out loading the snowmobiles up again, red-eyed and obviously tired.

Frazz hangs back and pulls Stella aside, out of earshot of the others.

Stella nods before stepping away from Frazz.

Vigil was focused on making sure everything was packed and tied tightly. He didn’t want anything falling off, at all. As soon as that was done, he began writting a letter to be sent to the higher up, as soon as they got back.

This mission, in my honest opinion, went far better than I thought it would have, granted the near fist fight between Frazz and Dahn would have been annoying, it was prevented, and, looking at all that had happen, might have been inevitable. Tension was high this mission. I think we should have a first and second in command assigned, before the mission. It will help create a bit more order. That being said, I would like to nominate Kaito. It was their quick thinking, on several occasions, which prevented fights. My second option would be Stella. While she is  is a prime candidate, due to her very calculating nature, it’s that same cold nature that comes with it, that can alienate her from some of her teammates. Regardless, she is perfect for high stress situations, as she will think clearly, regardless of what’s happening around her.

P.S. I would like to preemptively say that, even though I tried to take that role during this mission, I am not comfortable being in that position. It’s a lot of responsibility and I rather not be held responsible for the death of a friend, so I rather selfishly give that privilege to someone else.

Vigil paused, and then thought of the worst that could happen, before making an encrypted version, and uploading it to Stella’s and Kaito’s suits, along with a program that would automatically send it as soon as it connects to Akras’ network.

Alright, everybody, we are packed, and burning daylight! Let’s go already!”
