I'd like to offer whichever parts VolcanoQueen wants to use from my Movie Creatures Pack. I'll admit it's partially for playtesting, I haven't got much feedback on this mod.

I'll be using the birdemic birds, the giant locusts, and the killer sharks.

Also, I'd definitely recommend Indigofenix's Mythical Monster Mod; adds a whole bunch of creatures without drastically changing vanilla gameplay. It's modular too, so no DFhack required.

Felids have been added. I'm going to start coming up with the story soon, but you guys can keep suggesting mods.
EDIT: I also started sketching some of the races. Almost done with the sketch of a spink, going to work on magma dwellers next.

I lost the flashdrive that has all the mods on it, so until I find it, modding the game is going to be on hold.  I'll still try and think of story ideas and stuff, though.

I was using the birdemic birds, killer sharks, and giant locusts, along with my mods and KittyTac's mods. I have a modded save file that I used to test out my mods a while ago, I can get my mods from there. Is there a mod with a magic system that I could use? I was working on one, but that mod was on the flashdrive and starting from scratch would take forever.

Personally, I'm afraid of spending weeks or months to implement an excellent magic system only to have to tear it down in a few years because the myth&magic update is coming in like 4 years. Small things are OK for me to mod though.

EDIT: It didn't square, so we have to do with slade draconians and fire draconians. Or maybe cave-in draconians.
