Akituh and his parrot are men.
It's notoriously hard to sex a turtle.

It's also hard to figure out which sex a turtle is.

Well, this isn't so baaad. I so wish I could get my hands on a good warhammer, but I suppose I'll just have to wait. Although, I do think that some marble pillars wouldn't be out of place here and there... Or maybe a proper hall, like the ones in the Mountainhomes... We have a volcano, so we could make some canals... Heh heh... This'll be quite interesting. After all, Ber would be veeery dissapointed if things went badly my deeeaar expedition leader... Veeery dissapointed... In deed...
Imic sits down somewhere and rattles off old sayings and general advice. At some point, hang a sign beside his room saying that he's the proffessional creepy old man and hammerer.

Should we try to plan an actual defense for the supposed attack on the horizon, or are we just going to let Chedna and Ineth deal with it and see what happens.

We're in a volcano. Let's make magma channels and let our enemies deal with a fire moat.

That could work if we could pull it off in time, but we have only one miner. Plus, the snow and ice around it will melt and solidify the lava.

I believe you may be underestimating the heat of lava.

Hey, you, digger guy! Dig a few big holes right underneath the surface all around the fort in different directions, yeah? Then we'll put up an obsidian support in each one and link them all up to a pile of levers, and you can dig out the rims from the surface. We're going to put bridges over the gap so the islands can be crossed. Are you following so far? Maybe you should be writing this down. After that I just need you to tap the volcano so all the holes fill up with magma, all right? Then when somebody I don't like walks onto one of the islands, pull the corresponding lever and BAM, instant lava pit. Sound like a plan? Well, anyway, let's get right on that.

It's a bit early for started on such a large project, but that would eventually be a good solution. It would probably be even better to have a bridge that is on the far side of the moat that only extends one tile over it so that when the enemies try to get as close as possible they stand over the moat. And when they do we can pull a lever to drop them in it. The next step would be to fill the moat with magma crabs.

Scourge is petting the grey cat that is normally on his head while carving gems, " I vill call you whitestrrrrripe, forrrrrr white belly" He then puts the cat back on his head, drops the gems and walks out on hearing of new migrants, and as the others that were there at the time will agree, a polar bear man squeeing is a very interesting sound and sight indeed "ve have new cat in forrrrrtrrrrez, iz grrrreat newz, say hello, whitestrrrripe" he said, putting the cat down

Would anyone mind if I bring in a new character, and in the picture of the projected fortress layout, do we know if that darker area to the left is a valley or the ocean
