Trooper, just a tip, str, spd and skl are sorta core stats for a class like myrmidon. Also luck for extra evasion. SKL is important to any class planning to attack, actually as it both increases hit rate and crit rate.

I compilated the aspirants in one post.

I'm probably gonna play a thief/spy.
Spoiler: WIP Mug (click to show/hide)
EDIT: Now I remember why I wanted to post something - this game's based on the 1.3 rules, right?

What final promotion are you guys considering? I'm looking at having a Paladin. Also I have 2 questions. First, why do you have two old editions of handbook in the OP? Second, how should I go about getting/making a mug sprite?

Spoiler: WIP (click to show/hide)

Character Changes made

Nullifying Thunder
Fault is now - Wyvern Empathy; Felecia finds it hard to harm wyverns after raising one (-2 damage when fighting wyvern riders and their promotions)
Skill is now - Dabbling Physician; tending Path early in her life caused Felicia to take an interest in medicine (+5 hp healed when using recovery items? is that allowed?)

Edit: Skill has technically changed, leaving earlier post for reference

Spoiler: character (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: WIP sheet (click to show/hide)
Kind of need help balancing personal fault and skill.

Hello friends,

It's been sometime since I played a pbp or anything on the bay12 forums for that matter, but this rather quite caught my interest and unless I'm miscounting here there's still room for another novice?  If this is barging in unannounced my apologies, here's a character I made:

Insert ctsun here

I want you all to consider that there are only 6 spots and the party should have a variety of weapons. I can't help much more right now.

Is an action required in order to change weapons?

Nope, but you can't change after your action. An ally can help you switch weapons with the trade action.

Could I use my second Personal Skill (the one gained after reaching my First Class) to pick up an E rank in Light magic (as a Shaman), then?

Sereiously man, even I know that the classes are partially balanced by weapon access, please stop trying to game the system
Very well, then. I just wanted to know what my limits were.

No you can't. While trying to get to know the game is fine, focus more on making an interesting character than on trying to cheese the game v:

Also pick one character that you want to join with.

I did pick which character I wanted to join as- my Dancer. I bolded it in each character sheet post and everything.

Wait a minute... Priest Trainees can promote into Monks/Nuns- what happens to their proficiency in Staffs?

I think my personal fault is too much, should I reduce the -Hit?

They lose it.

Alright then, did you specify where you're putting your bonus 4 points? Also since Dancer's main attack stat is STR you won't be able to get Center. Also also your personal fault should have a trigger, and the support penalty to -50% and your personal skills are personal, can't affect other character's stats.

Priest Trainees can't promote to Monks/Nuns anymore. Instead they can promote to Butlers/Maids, which have staff proficiency.

Also yeah -15 Hit is the standard.

In light of the high sword density I've elected to resubmit as a Mage Trainee.

Lore Master in 1.3 has them using STR for spells if they promote from Dancer cuz of this v:

Also
one day, he woke up a few hours before the rest of his bandit group, and stabbed them all with their own bandits

Shouldn't he have bandit proficiency instead ;v

I dont think I explained myself right
I want my personal skill to give me 2 mov when someone is ko, I thougth this was too strong so I made my personal fault target both priests, monks and their promotions, giving me -Hit with them. I think that the -Hit I gave myself its a kittle too much, but im not sure how to make it balance the +2 mov bonus I would get from my personal skill.

Also, when I promote to troubadour, I will use  lances.

+2 MOV is too strong specially on a horse. +1 MOV is standard though.

Can we put a 0% growth rate in both STR and MAG (on the same character)?

Another character sheet that I made just for fun (I am still going to use my Dancer character):

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Final Critical Rate (when below 30% health, at first level, and with no active Bonds): 53.5%

But if I make my personal fault strong enough would I be able to keep it at +2 MOV?
