Because pin down is kinda shit? Honestly, it does nothing for us on the assault.

Also: We do not want to rush a windrider next turn. Doing that would be stupid in the extreme. We would end up with a windrider that is not strong enough to be useful, and then we need to spend *even more* to bring it up to spec.

Let's go plan A, but with a few suppressors replacing some of the pincushions.

It's not perfect, but it's better than CCC.

Let's go plan A, but with a few suppressors replacing some of the pincushions.

If we go Plan B, we could have 50% IS trims, with identical offensive capability as the Mongoose. Mildly less maneuverable when compared with the Mongoose having 75% IS trims, and there wouldn't be any additional armor on this new Windrider, but with a single heavy duty shroud, the need for armor is a bit lessened, I would think. After all, there is no awkward 10 second delay if they burst a shroud, nor can they get lucky and slip a shot in when we switch between them. Maybe not 'ideal', but definitely not too bad. And besides, 75% IS trims already pushes our crews to their limits, so even if we refit to 75% IS trims, those normal trims can go towards the next Windrider after that. We can outfit it with armor the turn after that if it turns out we didn't need it desperately then and there.

Still, if we are not going to build a Windrider next turn, we can more or less go crazy on the resources this turn, although we would want to save up next turn if that is the case.

It probably won't make a difference when compared to CCC if they pull that 'shoot and then run away' thing they did before; at least until we get more spread out long range weapons.

But it would make a difference if they try to  grenade bomb us again.

Ship Plan: Sneaky Fellows
WOSV Mongoose stays at TC on Boom and Zoom.
One Skiff moves down the Belt as far as it can go, on High Vigil, avoiding combat, searching for signs of hostile development. Oh, and, you know, hostile ships.
One Skiff moves to Spire Kasgyre, again avoiding combat, to report on anything notable.

WOSV Shibboleth, Batholith, and Marge to proceed to Three Captains and drop off troops, escorted by the three new Comets. All ships will be on High Vigil, to prevent sneak attacks. They will attempt to avoid combat until at TC, to ensure delivery of the troops.

Eh, it's basically 'no tactic'. I'll let it pass.

Quote
Ship Plan: Sneaky Fellows Mk2
WOSV Mongoose stays at TC on Boom and Zoom.
2*Skiff Original stays at TC on High Vigil

All the troops mentioned in the chosen production/equip plan are shoveled into the transport at Wreth.

WOSV Shibboleth, Batholith, and Marge to proceed to Three Captains and drop off troops, escorted by the three new Comets. All ships will be on High Vigil, to prevent sneak attacks. They will attempt to avoid combat until at TC, to ensure delivery of the troops.
